★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little Birria place near the beach with some of the best consommé I’ve ever had! It’s like the most delicious meaty herbal bone broth! Also two very nice ladies who run it and the sauces were tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can see the quality and care of this taqueria as soon as you walk up: the grill is front and center, and the women owners are at work, making fresh salsas by hand, turning birria tacos — served soft, medium, or crunchy — and explaining the menu. There are unusual, “adventuresome” selections here for out of towners, as well as standards. Don’t miss the consommé with a lunchtime birria taco: the delicious stock from the long and slow cooked meat. Prices are great, location is open and airy, and everything is impeccably clean. They are open long hours, too, so expect to find different tacos available at different times.
