X	X Powell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Important: Mexico is serious about wearing masks and sanitizer. Techno 21 is a a quaint hotel a few yards from Progreso beach. 2nd floor has excellent view of the gulf. Staff is friendly. Clean rooms. Only complaint: weak coffee.

J	Jeremy Fisher on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The yellow Casa Villa Mar has amazing charm, clean rooms and a great staff. While not exactly on the beach, it is across the street from an access point. The pool was clean and warm, and our room was great. We stayed in the suite with an outstanding balcony on the second floor, with views and sounds of the ocean. Some negative points include lack of power outlets in the room (outside the bathroom) and the television only received 4x3, standard definition stations - if you didn’t input your own logins to the Roku applications. I’d recommend this place to everyone looking to visit Progresso, who don’t want to exactly be surrounded by tourists from cruise ships, since you’re about a half mile from the hustle and bustle of the malecón.
J	Just The Truth Always on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not all rooms are like the picture. Go to 2and floor, first floor rooms are small. Beware of the flies in dining space, unbelievable the number of them. They did not seem to mind them, the little breads offered were covered but they fly all on the toaster that the bread goes on. I did not eat there!!

Large rooms, spacious bathrooms, comfy beds and the building may have been built in 1925 but it feels modern. I would stay here again.

I would add at least another 2 outlets or an extension in the room so that people don't have to charge their phones in the bathroom like we did and the wifi didn't work for us so if they can improve these 2 things it would get a 4 star because the hotel truly has great potential.
