The loveliest set up for the most relaxing experience. We loved both the temazcal and the massage, the staff was caring and "muy amable", the herbs smelled delicious. Particularly loved the pouring of water over your body before coming out of the steam room. Totally rejuvenating. Thank you all ?

The temezcal is a beautiful experience. Be prepared to become fully relaxed, feel beautifully cared for, and thoroughly and skillfully massaged. Make sure you allow the rest of your day to be quiet, to feel the full benefit of this beautiful traditional cleanse and massage. The staff were exceptionally kind, the gardens really beautiful, and I highly recommend this exoerience. We purchased through Las Buganbilias in Oaxaca City, and they arranged transportation to San Felipe, where the temezcal is.

The healers in the temazcal took great care and respect during the session with me, and all the decorations were lovely. I greatly enjoyed the intimacy and solitude with just the healer and I. It allowed me more time for introspection and meditating in my own energy. The tranquility of the garden and the people here have inspired me to stay here in Oaxaca:)

It's almost worth coming to Oaxaca just for this. The whole experience feels like a gift for the body and spirit. None of it is aspiring to be deluxe but all the elements are perfectly choreographed to make an experience that is utterly luxurious and authentic. There is something about crawling into the space of the temazcal (in this case, a tiny brick room) that is already transporting in a kind of Alice in Wonderland way. After an hour of intense heat and steam, and cooling off under crisp white sheets, the massage is exactly what you are ready for. The place is in San Felipe del Agua on the outer edge of Oaxaca itself, but is part of the Las Bugambilias B&B, which is where you set out from. All the staff are calm, kind, and caring - including even the driver who takes you there from the hotel in Oaxaca Centro. There's a small but lovely garden you walk through to get to the buildings that house the temazcal. We loved it and will definitely go again any time we are in Oaxaca.

An incredibly authentic experience in a tranquil environment. Temezcal Mariana was the perfect end to our culturally immersive trip to Oaxaca & a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Oaxaca Centro . Cannot recommend it enough!
