★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es una capilla hermosa aunque descuidada, llamada popularmente Concepción Tlaxcoaque, preserva en esencia su arquitectura del siglo XVII.
Lamentablemente parece que ya nadie le da mantenimiento, en lo particular me gustaba más antes de la última restauración.
Si pasas por el zócalo de la CDMX no dejes de visitarla.
Si eres devoto y deseas meditar un momento a solas, esta es una gran opción debido a la poca cantidad de gente que hay.
It is a beautiful but neglected chapel, popularly called Concepción Tlaxcoaque, essentially preserves its 17th-century architecture.
Unfortunately it seems that no one gives maintenance, in particular I liked it better before the last restoration.
If you go through the CDMX socket do not forget to visit it.
If you are a devotee and want to meditate for a moment alone, this is a great option due to the small number of people there are.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es un pequeño templo católico barroco del siglo XVII. Originalmente fue una parroquia consagrada a la sabe de cristo, se ubicaba en el barrio de Tlaxcoaque, una zona habitada por indígenas. A finales del siglo XVII fue dedicada a la Inmaculada Concepción. Es un templo de planta de cruz latina con una sola nave y cúpula en el crucero. Su fachada principal mira hacia el norte y posee una sola torre con campanario en el lado oriental, cuya cúpula estuvo recubierta por azulejos. Por los costados este y oeste, la iglesia está reforzada por contrafuertes. Fue construida con piedra volcánica y en su erección participaron artistas indígenas.
En la década de 1930 gran parte de la zona fue demolida para abrir nuevas y amplias vialidades, entre ellas la Calzada de Tlalpan y la Avenida del 20 de noviembre. La iglesia se salvó de la demolición y quedó aislada en una plaza, rodeada de avenidas de intenso tráfico y de edificios de mayor elevación.
Es una iglesia pequeña pero con mucha historia, es recomendable acudir si se encuentran por el centro de la ciudad, la zona es segura y hay vigilancia.
It is a small Baroque catholic temple of the XVII century. Originally it was a parish consecrated to the know of Christ, it was located in the neighborhood of Tlaxcoaque, an area inhabited by indigenous people. At the end of the 17th century it was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. It is a Latin cross plan temple with a single nave and dome on the transept. Its main facade faces north and has a single tower with a bell tower on the eastern side, whose dome was covered by tiles. On the east and west sides, the church is reinforced by buttresses. It was built with volcanic stone and indigenous artists participated in its erection.
In the decade of 1930 great part of the zone was demolished to open new and wide roads, among them the Calzada de Tlalpan and the Avenue of November 20. The church was saved from demolition and was isolated in a square, surrounded by avenues of intense traffic and buildings of higher elevation.
It is a small church but with a lot of history, it is advisable to go if you are in the center of the city, the area is safe and there is surveillance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lamentablemente al Gobierno de la Ciudad de México, dejó de importarle este espacio hace mucho tiempo. La iglesia parece que ya no está en funciones, o en todo caso casi no la abren. Está llena de graffitis e inclusive tiene su vitral frontal roto. Ya no hay cuidado en las áreas verdes, desapareciendo prácticamente, y aunque aparenta ser un lugar seguro, de inmediato se ve que es un lugar abandonado.
Unfortunately, the Government of Mexico City stopped caring about this space a long time ago. The church seems that it is no longer in operation, or in any case it is hardly open. It is full of graffiti and even has its front window broken. There is no longer care in the green areas, practically disappearing, and although it appears to be a safe place, it is immediately seen that it is an abandoned place.
