★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The spines of the tree there miraculously changed and took the shape of a cross with 3 additional small spines showing the wounds of Christ. I go there at least twice every time I go to Queretaro. Powerful pilgrimage place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful church in downtown Queretaro. A peaceful place in the middle of town. Like most of the churches I've visited in Mexico, the architecture is impressive. Busy on the weekends, this square is a great place to soak up the local culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great tour that helps maintain the facility. However, if you're not a Spanish speaker, you may not get as much from the tour (IMHO, still worthwhile). For 60 years or older, the cost is $10 pesos per adult (about 50 cents). Otherwise, it's $20 pesos per person (about $1 USD).
The famous Querétaro aquaduct terminates inside the convent walls. The kitchen area includes a view of the "refrigeration" methods from before the industrial age, as well as the chimney for the cooking fires and the water storage wells. Highly recommend.
