Tequila Grand Tour - 44500 Guadalajara

If I could give them 0 I would. The worst travel experience I’ve had in my life. Between myself and my partner we’ve travelled to over 100 countries and have never experienced something like this before. The first stop (and our only stop) was in a pathetic excuse of a ‘distillery’ which wasn’t even functional where we waited an hour for the ‘explanation’ to begin and were encouraged to buy overpriced food and drinks. The English tour guide (as advertised) never showed up. Upon raising concern with the tour leader, we were mocked for being foreigners and not adjusting to Mexican standards (we speak enough Spanish to know when someone is talking about us). We left in a taxi and decided to go to tequila and explore the day on ourselves. Save your money (and more importantly your time) and do it yourself with Uber/taxi or a rental car.

It is interesting but you are not going to get drunk. If you want to get drunk make sure you get up to dance. The hostess brings out the bottle of tequila and makes you drink while you dance.

The worst tour I've been on in my life. They take you to some random place in the middle of nowhere, where you'll spend the whole day paying for overpriced food and drinks. Than you only have an hour to explore the actual town of Tequila. It's ridiculous

Tour to Tequila: Total nightmare from the start; avoid at all costs. They pick you up at 9am at hotel in a van, then bring you to a parking lot to wait for 90 minutes till the bus is filled. The bus is a piece of junk from the 70s. No seat belts. Zero COVID measures, not everyone is enforced to use masks, and obviously there is no social distance as the bus is totally packed up. The guides mock about any customer that complains about the horrible service. This tour company is a shame for Mexico and Guadalajara.

After waiting in their parking lot in Guadalajara the Tequila "tour" takes you to their property in a run down bus, packed like sardines, to spend money at their location for 5ish hours. Then give you about an hour in Tequila. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

A full day - 6 hours at a distillery then only 1.5 hours in Tequila. Should have read the tour details.

DEFINITELY NO RECOMMENDED. This tour is organised to only make you spend money in tequila farm. They take you from center to another bus parking area. You will wait 30 minutes there. After you hit the road by uncomfortable bus, you will reach a tequila farm. They will show you plants, storage and processing. It will take 1 hour. After that, you will spend hours in the same place with music, nothing else. The tour doesn't include any food or drink but only tasting very small amount of 4 types of tequila. They will leave the farm at 15:30 and take you to a restaurant that you have no other option but paying 250 MXN. After the lunch, you will have an hour to walk around the Tequila town.

We took a tour from Guadalajara, and they tell you about the history. You go into one of the Tequila making factories. It was fun, and the cantaritos are always so good.
