★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agustin at Tequila Por Favor was fantastic at helping us select the right tequila and even gave us some samples of very expensive bottles. We were so impressed we set up a tequila tasting with Agustin to learn more about its production and the different styles. If you are in Ixtapa and like tequila, I highly recommend stopping by!

I wanted to bring a bottle home for my friend but didn't have a clue.
I explained my situation and they were extremely helpful. After an educational tasting session I was able to make a choice that pleased my friend back home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spontaneously booked a Tequila tasting with Benjamin and honestly this changed the whole way we think about and will drink Mezcal and Tequila. He knows the history, the importance and the differences in the tequilas that I’ve never experienced. I’ve been to a wine tasting with a sommelier that was no where near the education that we received from Benjamin. I would highly recommend doing a Mezcal and then a Tequila tasting. If you do you will appreciate the history, environmental benefit, health benefit and truly wonderful world of Mezcal and Tequila, and the different flavors they have to offer!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Benjamin was awesome. Even those in our party that didn’t “think” they liked tequila were amazed after he took us through the history and the technique of how to taste. Would highly recommend. I’d like to go back for the Mezcal tasting too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're visiting Zihua, do yourself a favour and visit this store. They were very generous with their explanations on tequila and mezcals and allowed me to taste a few options before settling on some to buy. You can tell there is a lot of care put into the selection and their passion for their products definitely shows! I only wish I had time to do a proper tasting session while I was there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for Vanilla. Benjamin (I think) spoke excellent English and was helpful explaining Dark and Clear Vanilla. They carry one brand - Orlando (they have a web site). Price for 250ml bottle was 155 Pesos. The deciding factor between the 3 vanilla sellers was Orlando came in a plastic bottle for travel.
