STAY AWAY!!! This place is absolutely AWFUL. It’s a SCAM!!!! They have people working on the sidewalk who harass you to go inside and say you can go up and have a drink. When you arrive upstairs we asked TWICE if credit cards were accepted and they told us yes. When we take a seat they don’t give us a drink menu but ask us what we want to order; we order 3 margaritas and a lemonade and then are told if we don’t order food our bill would be charged an additional 40%. So we order an appetizer. After waiting almost 40 minutes to get our drinks and food it takes another 30 minutes for someone to bring us our check. Then they make up an excuse saying we can no longer pay with credit card and must pay in cash, they created a a conversion rate of USD TO Mexican pesos of 1:16 pesos. $2700 pesos for 4 drinks and a queso fundido. In addition to everything they include a mandatory 20% service charge not listed anywhere. This is the WORST experience I have ever had.

This place is run by thieves! They lie about everything, they tried to sneak in another $600 in my bill. I will never come back, and they prey on tourists outside. They are clearly not worried about the horrible reviews here because the tourists are not going to check their phones for Google reviews while outside. I am disgusted!

Trust the reviews. I have been to Mexico City many times and other restaurants over looking the square and this was the first time I had issues. We were billed $900 pesos for 1 lemonade, 1 horchata, 2 sopa azteca and 3 tacos el pastor. The 2 non alcohol drinks alone were $250 pesos. When I asked to see the menu and pointed out the drinks should only be $47 pesos we were told ours were extra large. I started taking pictures of the menu but then she took it away. We managed to get the bill down to $700 pesos but this place is a total scam.

Absolute scam. Adding 16% additionally VAT, and 15% 'obligated' service. additionally made up prices that were not on the menu. Lot's of errors in the calculation. after recalculating took a huge % of the bill that they were asking. Blundly told them that that was what I was going to pay. as stated by others it is a scam and prey on tourists. not recommendable to anyone

Total rip off. Forced to pay $250 (american) for dinner for 5. You don't even pay those prices in the U.S. Super sketchy staff. No paper menu provided. Menu was on their cell phone that they passed around to everyone in our party. Negative 5 stars.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. We got the feeling they're working on a quota system and that's why all their workers yell out the windows, to get people up there that they can dupe. Giving this place one star is being generous. The food is cheap quality, unpalatable, and incredibly overpriced. The non-alcoholic drinks that cost $2 US elsewhere are $12 US. We ordered a sharable parrillada that was supposed to be the fancy one at about $90 US and got a molcajete that they said they gave us because they were out of the parrilladas to bring to the table. For the record, on the menu the molcajete was supposed to be $25 less but they still charged us for the expensive one. The food was such bad quality that we didn't eat much. You'd get much better meat at a street taco place. Yet in the end the bill that should have been about $120 (already ridiculously more than that bad food should have cost) somehow turned out to be $240 with all the fees??? Definitely disputing this charge. Este lugar es un asco y lo defraudan. La comida no se puede comer de lo mal de que esta y le cobran lo doble con todas las "tarifas de servico" que le agregan. No vayan.
