We went out to eat at this restaurant and it’s a total rip off. We made the mistakes of ordering food that was recommended. No menu was provided. We ended up having to pay $530 dollars for mediocre food. The waiter then claimed he couldn’t process our card and we had to pay cash. Beware people do not go to this restaurant.

Expensive, extremely slow, average taste, limited menu, great views. Recommend having a coffee / snack here not having a meal.

The views are beautiful at this place but the staff we're very quick to over charge and when asked they said there was a charge for the view, and an additional charge for being American... Although I am British I felt this was extremely rude and clearly a con for tourists. They had two different menus with two different prices for different kinds of visitors. Wouldn't visit again and wouldn't recommend this place

Never visit this place. They don’t make money on food, they make money on fraud. They have several menu, you make order using one menu but finally they bring you check with much higher prices on fake menu. Cuisine is disgusting but they don’t care, they know you will never come here again. Very sad that local police knows about these scammers but allow them to cheat foreigners :(((

I just visited this place. The service was Okish. The waiter made some suggestions that we were glad to accept. However, when the billed arrived, we had a nasty surprise: two Mexican beers, two half-glasses of wine, one guacamole, a molcajete, and two tequila shots came up to the outrageous sum of 6,380 Mexican Pesos (US$319). Not expecting that huge bill, we were short for 200 pesos. It was all the more frustrating because the food was not even good. The only good thing about this place is the view over the cathedral which they use as bait. It was a very unpleasant experience because it leaves you with the ugly feeling of being ripped off. What I regret the most is 1) the US$10 cover, 2) the fact that we were not allowed to use our credit card. They said "the system was not working". Instead, they escorted us to a bank to retrieve cash along with two employees like we were bandits when in reality it was them. Really unacceptable! Crooks! DO NOT come to this place. The view is not worth the major rip off that awaits you at the end! I wonder if there is a way to let VISA know that this people display the Visa logo but do not actually honor it by accepting the card. If you look at the sum, it comes to 4,590 pesos plus 730 taxes = 5320 pesos. Yet the bill is 6,380. Overcharge was 1060 pesos (US$ 53)

Stay away! It had a shady vibe from the start. They demanded that we spend at least a drink and a meal. There were broken elevators and we were forced to climb up at least 5 flights of stairs. There were hardly any people there and the place looked closed. Good thing I read the reviews and left right after I found out that it was a scam. Do yourself a favor and go to El Mayor instead.

SCAM ALERT This place is a scam, stay away from it. People at the main square (like the guy on the photo) will invite you to a "terrace with a fantastic view over the city centre". You will then be offered a menu with false prices and forced to pay a bill that is much higher than you expect. Also, some menu prices are intentionally covered with a piece of tape: this way they can always say that you just didn't see the correct price. Eventually, we called police and they backed off. But don't destroy your vacation by going there.

Wish I checked the reviews first. I was absolutely amazed by this restaurant, they are astoundingly incredible, absolutely world class... at being the biggest crook of a restaurant I've ever been to across 6 continents. I was expecting to overpay for the view given the location but they went above and beyond basic overcharging tourists at a hotspot. We were lied to at every turn about what we have to order in order to not have to pay the cover and still charged us cover and service even though I told them I'm do not want to include tip. Hilarious after reading all the reviews that our waitress told us they've never had any problems with any customers given their 1.1 star rating out of hundreds of reviews. Unfortunate that bad reviews do nothing for them cause their location is so good.
