Todo el Pueblo y su comunidad tienen increíbles características tradicionales, lo que conforma su identidad única y de gran valor patrimonial. Del mismo modo, la posmodernidad y el ingenio colectivo de la comunidad, es notoria en su implementación a la tecnología agrícola, que es su principal actividad económica.
Tiene casi todo los climas del estado de morelos, una gran variedad de especies animales y plantas en sus ecosistemas.
Por lo anterior, los paisajes que confirman este territorio son diversos, ya que responden a la época del año que visite el pueblo y el interés de esparcimiento que usted tenga.
Visite los tianguis tradicionales de productos de la región.
Tome un raspado tradicional de frutos de la región en la plaza principal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pueblo en las alturas que, como su nombre indica, tiene cercanía con el volcán Popocatépetl. Clima fresco tendiendo a frío. Desde aquí se pueden tener buenas vistas del volcán Popocatépetl que pareciera estar al alcance de la mano. Tiene su iglesia antigua y exconvento. De vida apasible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nuestro grupo ciclista realiza anualmente está rodada Taxqueña-Tetela del Volcán y de regreso. Geberalne a la llegada y durante la noche acampamos con Doña Vicky, quién amablemente bnos brinda el spot por un costo de recuperación.
Del tal manera que todos los elementos se conjugan calificación: BBB
Disfrutamos del paisaje, comemos hongos y pasamos un rato muy agradable. En el mercado aunque pequeño puedes encontrar los elementos necesarios para cocinar y otros enceres.
