The Gardens of Mazatlan - 82103 Mazatlán

4/5 based on 4 reviews

The beautiful, five-story Gardens of Mazatlán is ideally situated for easy access to health care, shopping, restaurants and the magnificent beaches of the Pacific Ocean. We have prepared the interior with you being foremost in our thoughts, including easy access and immediate response by our trained personnel.

The first or Main Floor incorporates administrative offices as well as health support facilities, common space and resident services.

The second floor through the fourth are dedicated to Assisted Living and is designed with your comfort and privacy in mind. The fifth floor is designed with added security in mind and will be dedicated to Memory Care.

The rooftop will be accessible to residents and there will be a rooftop walking path surrounding a Palapa for social events.

Note: The furniture depicted in these three-dimensional images is for illustrative purposes only. While the studios are fully furnished, residents are encouraged to use special furnishings from their own collection to “personalize” their private studios, subject, of course, to available space and certain safety limitations.

I am familiar with the owners of this new facility. It will soon be open for business and I am confident that it will provide first class assisted living. The owners and staff have extensive experience in providing assisted living services both in fund raising and development of such facilities as well as running the day to day operations.

I would not recommend this establishment. We got a quote from here, and had accepted all the rules and regulations, agreed upon service, and payment. ONE DAY before my parents were to move in, they decided to now become a smoke free environment, and there was to be no smoking on property, when in our agreement it stated my Mom could smoke on her balcony, or anywhere outside as long as she was courteous to others about it. To change a rule like that the day before moving in, knowing we would have no choice but to accept it, was unprofessional , and honestly, I think they got tired of having to wheel my mom to the pool area when she wanted to smoke, which is admittedly often...But this is what happens when you make a sudden change to an agreement, there are consequences.. The food was never "on demand from 7am to 7pm" as promised, and both my parents have lost weight since their 2 week stay there. My father is diabetic and needs to eat about 5 times a day, and they would only give them food at meal times. I was told about all the "wonderful construction improvements" they will have, and all the terrific events, and activities they will have, but in my opinion, if you open a facility, you shouldn't accept people into it as residents until things are complete, unless you just use it as a sales tactic and don't intend to do those things. I went away for a weekend, and the nurse Tracy took my numbers and promised I would be updated daily. I never received a message or call at all, I think they didn't want to have to tell me that there was no water at the facility for 2 days, so it's easier to just not call. When we got them home, they were so dirty it was concerning. The care is seriously lacking, and unless you are completely mobile without assistance, and have no care needs, It is a nice place....But then again, if you are fully self sufficient, you wouldn't need an "assisted living facility", which in my opinion, this place does not meet the definition.

We would like everyone to know how wonderful The Gardens are ! Our mother has been there over a year and is treated like a beloved family member ... the staff are well-trained and so caring ... the building and grounds are highly maintained ... the food is absolutely amazing ... their strict protocols during the current pandemic have been especially reassuring ... and most importantly, the owners' dedication goes far above and beyond what we could ever have wished for. Anyone considering transitioning to the variety of levels of care they offer will have a very happy home here :o)
