This is the ultimate Mexican bait in switch hotel. We originally booked 2 rooms a king room and a double room they double room. But had to cancel 1. My don't. My adult daughter ended up staying in the room with us which was supposed to be a king room. When we got here we were told that they cannot put 3 people in a king room because they won't fit and they stuck us in what was supposed to be a double Queen room. That double Queen room was actually a double bedroom of which my partner and I were expected to shove 2 6' tall 200 pound people into a double bed together. We were told there were no king rooms available. But when we booked the room we booked a king room that was non refundable. The guy at the front desk told us the next day he would find us a king room. He did not. it took 4 days and a shower full of cockroaches before we were able to change our room. You read that correctly cockroaches. We had to go to the Hilton side because they would not fix our room on the Hacienda side. We asked multiple times to speak to the hotel manager and we were refused . They did tell us they would have him call us. He never did.. And reading some of these reviews I can understand why. he already knew what we were gonna say I didn't want to hear it. The cafeteria food here is disgusting. The Mexican restaurant however is very good and staff there are amazing. The pool site servers are very wonderful and attentive. I would not recommend the Hacienda it is not necessarily adult only there's really only 2 places to eat on this side and you have to book reservations for them. In order to do any beach or any other restaurants you have to go to the family side therefore it is not adult only. I would not necessarily call it all inclusive either it's somewhat all inclusive there are still things you have to pay for as far as coffee, room service. We were told there is an $8 fee per delivery of room service that is not all inclusive. It also takes away from the employees because why would I want to tip an employee when I'm paying $8 to receive room service that I've already paid for in my vacation package. The hotel itself on the haciendicide is pretty beat up I would compare it more to a Motel 6 than I would a Hilton. If you are coming here to relax you're not going to get that there are fireworks every night huge parties that go on until 4 AM it is almost impossible to get rest in the evenings here.RUN!!!!

Many room options to fit families size or special occasions. We booked the swim up room, great privacy from the public. Unfortunately because the lack of sunshine during the day, water temperature is okay warm enough during noon to early afternoon. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. They are always willing to go above and beyond to assist, from front desk, to housekeeping, from pool side towels attendants to restaurants staff. Great people ! Food is a bummer. Average to low quality of food and variety. Location is best. Close to airport, but surprisingly no airplane noise. 5km to old town. Great beach front and views! The O'West sushi bar is little hidden jewel. Perfect location in the resort for sunset and romantic IG shots. Too bad they close at 8pm. It'd be great they would extend it till 9 or 10pm. Only recommend the Hacienda side, where is adult only, unless you enjoy the unbelievable amount of kids screaming and yelling on the regular Hilton side. Personal preference

I am really torn at this time. I will start with the pros. PROS: The resort is beautiful, the pool is nice, the greenery is amazing, the rooms are just as pictured, very clean, minus the mosquitos. We reserved and paid for a swim up pool in our room, which was great to have, especially when you did not want to be at the crowded main pool. Someone cleans your pool daily. The staff was extremely nice on all the premises. You do have a refrigerator in the room that is full on beer and water that you can drink as much as you'd like. When we did get reservations for a restaurant the food was pretty good, the Mexican restaurant (La Catrina, i think) was really good, THE BEST. The sushi on the rooftop pool was pretty good, but more options would be kind of nice. They do sell cigars at the store on the Hilton side and there are signs that say "no smoking", but everyone smokes cigarettes. They have cute iguanas named Bobo, Pepe, Jennifer that join the pool area everyday around lunch time. The iguanas are really nice, but will eat your food. CONS: Our room had plumbing issues. The shower water would not drain which we reported at least 2 times and no one fixed it, there was no hot water, also reported and it was not fixed, so this lead us to taking bird baths in the tub with hot water. Upon check in, in our case about 4pm, they do not tell you that reservations are not accepted beyond 5 pm, so once we settled into our room we went to find a nice bite to eat, we could not get reservations anywhere as they all said they were "booked" and they were pretty much empty, leaving us to eat at the buffet, which the food was picked over and flies were every where. PLEASE MAKE RESERVATIONS AS SOON AS YOU ARRRIVE! The food options by the pool are just ok. I wish they had authentic tacos. In the mornings the hallways were so loud as there is cobble stone on the ground so you can her the carts rolling over the stone, so take ear plugs. Their social media shows top notch mixologist making drinks and not once did I see a mixologist making drinks that were as exquisite as shown on social. Room service is $8 and if you are paying for all inclusive that should be included. When housekeeping is cleaning your room they keep the door open, allowing the mosquitos to enter the room. My back looks like I have the chicken pox. the Wi-Fi is TERRIBLE. Did not work in our room at all, only in the common areas. About 24 hours before you depart you MUST take a COVID test in which they send you off-sight and you have to pay for transportation to get there and back. The pool in our room had lights in the pool but no where to turn the lights or the jets on. Besides the occasional weddings there was not much activities going on the resort. The beach area is a nice size, but if the vendors did not bother you and they cleaned it thoroughly, it would be better.

The Hacienda is a really good resort, we loved our room with a whirlpool tub. the food however was not our taste. Didn't like that we needed to make reservations in all the restaurants. We could definitely understand if 1 or 2 needed it daily but not all. The lunch buffet at the pool was decent and their guacamole was excellent. The service at the Hacienda pool was top notch and we LOVED Juan and Dulche. The gentleman at the front were very attentive and on point. The service at the Mediterranean Restaurant was below par. They pushed you to order when with some friends even though they were not busy. Overall the score is based on the pool service (which would be a 5)

I stayed here for a week with my two daughters and had the best time ever. Place is beautiful and maintained well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They went far and beyond to help and serve us. Food selection wasn't huge but the food was good and they had plenty of fruits. I would highly recommend and would return here to stay again. Thank you for making our vacation great.

Where do I begin. For starters, they will not allow Service animals on site at all. My dog is registered and trained for medical assistance “ not emotional support “. Spoke with customer relations and called the Hilton and still would not allow my pet on site. We we’re only there for day pass to visit our parents that flew in to see our new house. Vendors bothered us more than my dog would’ve bothered anyone else BTW and they cross the ropes. I understand Mexico and US has different rules but as a major hotel chain known globally should honor rules regardless. If this was the US they would have a lawsuit on their hands. So don’t plan on registering as a guest or visiting family at this hotel if you have a service animal. Sham on you Hilton!! Secondly, day pass; $100 not even worth $50. Service slow, servers was polite, food was blaaa, and they screwed up our drink order every time. Front desk staff and guest relations was somewhat friendly but for Mexican culture they were rude. Once again sham on you Hilton!!!! I might look into the laws here for my service animal and see what they can do. Sorry Hilton :(

First time at an all-inclusive resort. This place doesn't disappoint! The staff are very nice and extremely helpful. Plenty of pool space and very easy to the beach. If you are planning to see the Malecon area, it's about 3.3 miles from this resort. P.S. just a heads up, don't expect to get fine dining quality food at any all-inclusive resort.

Overall really impressed with the hotel and the service, we stayed at the Hacienda at Hilton. One of the stand out features was that my partner and I don’t drink at all so we ordered virgin cocktails and not once did they fail us! We have been to places before where they had accidentally served us alcohol, but here they were meticulous with orders and they got everything right every single time. The private beach was nice. There were also 3 pools to choose from, each with their different vibe and views. Of the 3 pools, our favourite was the main pool at the adults only Hacienda, as it was the warmest and had a good mix of sun and shade. The service pool side was excellent too. Also, the rooms are huge and clean. The bathroom is big enough to rent out. Sheets were always clean and fresh feeling. Excellent selection of restaurants and huge spreads at the buffets. Although our favourite thing to order was probably the fish tacos at the pool. In addition, the resort is close enough to walk to Puerto Magico, where a lot of the water excursions leave from. The bus stop to get to the rest of the city is close by too. Very happy with our stay in Puerto Vallarta overall!
