★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice facility and Staff generally quite good but pool service slow. Loud obnoxious American music (disco and electronic) blaring poolside ALL DAY LONG and into the evening. No way to escape it even on your balcony early morning or early late evening. Don’t think we will return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel on itself is nice, nice pool and view, but we ordered the room one day before and we had it reserved for 12pm and we struggled to get a room, we had to fight with staff to get a room and ended up getting it till 4pm. The rooms were filled with blood marks and just creepy on itself, the room we got had a kitchen a didn't even have water. The towels and blankets were humid and gave the room a bad smell. Dont come here the hotels is trash and cost too much. It's a scam onitself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice staff, good food, and great views, but very old hotel rooms and suites. We stayed in two high floor suites and both had ants, very old furniture, mold in many areas, and old painted kitchen appliances. Also, the ac and heater never worked, and the room telephones didn't work properly.

Lot's of mold in the bathroom.
Floors were very dirty. I thought it was stained, until I wiped them.
Couldn't open the closet doors because the bed was in the way and the beds don't move.
Half the time the phones didn't work.
The sliding doors to the patio didn't close all the way, so it was very noisy.
Ants crawling all over the kitchen counter and in the bathroom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last Sunday 3 guests and I went to Papagayo for brunch. When we get there we are told it closes at 1:00 PM, so we had 15 minutes to get food. We decided that was fine and got up to get it. We walked to the buffet to find out all the hot food had been removed and they were starting on removing the cold food. I asked what was going on and was told it's closed, we had to order from the menu. Well, there went brunch. We stayed since we were hungry, but it was disappointing. Since I live here I have heard great things about the brunch. This changes everything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here February 2022, rooms are the same as they were 6+ years ago. Rooms are outdated. AC works when it wants to. Elevator slow and usually only one side works. Food is alright. Pool is lame. Only one jacuzzi is actually warm. When you tell the staff they say they’ll let the technician know and 3 days after it’s the same. I wouldn’t stay here again.
