En 1962, una pareja. Juan Tapia y Ma. Dolores Rodríguez, después de vivir un tiempo en México, regresaron a Querétaro con el deseo de comercializar productos a la provincia. Con tan sólo una bicicleta y una caja de paletas, Juan Tapia comenzó a vender dulces; posteriormente decidió comercializar sus productos en locales; más tarde, en 1977, la familia creció y a la par la empresa, ya que por cada hijo comenzó a abrirse un punto de venta. Fue en los años 80 que se registra por fin la marca de El Rey del Dulce.

Pues busque sus ubicaciones en Querétaro y me di cuenta que tienen varias sucursales y todas muy buen surtidas ?? Al ir a ésta en especial, aunque es pequeña a comparación de la que tienen en mercado de abastos, me di cuenta que esta muy bien surtida. Sobre todo muy ordenada en cuanto a marcas y variedad de dulces, no sólo manejan dulce económico, sino también chocolateria fina y dulces de marcas de prestigio. Y otra sorpresa fue que tambien tienen dulces típicos mexicanos,!! Encontré unos tradicionales borrachitos, que están deliciosos. Claro que tenían los mazapánes de almendra que buscaba!! Los precios son muy competitivos, si tienes negocio de dulces, creo que si hay forma de tener ganancias aceptables??? Asi que hay suficiente variedad para surtir pequeños negocios de menudeo de dulces o para fiestas infantiles hay de todo. Su confitería tambien esta muy bien surtida, de esa no compre nada pero vi que todo lo tienen en vitrinas y se ve muy limpio y ordenado. La atención es muy buena, las empleadas resolvieron mis dudas y pude hacer mis compras libremente por la tienda, revisando y escogiendo mis dulces yo misma. Definitivamente regresaré a comprar mis dulces a esta u otra sucursal que tenga cerca. ????
