There is just no way to describe how beautiful, tranquil and unique the Mayan Gypsy is. We are going back next year for the 3rd time. Nothing like it anywhere we have stayed in Mexico. One of a kind space and amazing family owners.

Most amazing place to stay in Progreso!!! Beautiful colonial house with a lovely outside area: plants, pool, hammocks, mosaic design and lots of great common areas to just chill after the beach. The rooms are spacious with air conditioning, great bathrooms/shower and I also had a kitchen to make food. The whole place has been redone with such love and style it’s hard not to fall in love with it as soon as you enter. Allysa the host is great: super helpful, always available to answer questions and give recommendations. Beach and restaurants are right in front of you and everything is walking distance. So basically if you are coming to Progreso and want a quite, stylish, zen and beautiful place to stay, then the Mayan Gypsy is for you. I will be back again soon. Thank you for your hospitality!!

The most beautiful and most friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. Amazing service by the owner from even before I arrived all the way to leaving. Property is absolutely immaculate. If you are visiting Progreso, a must place to stay and enjoy; and if you need a place for a retreat for work or to work remotely, the WiFi is top notch.

Lovely boutique hotel with colorful decorations from different regions of Mexico. Then owner is super friendly and accommodating.. We had any amazing time here. Very relaxing and peaceful.

Ambiance was exceptional for Christmas holiday. Owners are super friendly and hands-on which adds a nice touch to the boutique feel. Would highly recommend for a nice weekend, holiday. Will be back soon!

The Mayan Gypsy is quite a gem! Located one block away from the beach and the Malecon, and within walking distance from several restaurants- it’s a perfect getaway! The property itself is incredibly beautiful and the owners have taken such care in creating each guest suite and common area to be unique and well thought out. Our suite was very clean, the bed and linens were of high quality and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with the amenities. The recommendations provided for local restaurants, local services, and day excursions were great and very much appreciated. Communication was quick, clear, and effective and We would highly recommend this property during your stay in Progesso, Mexico.
