This place is terrible-service and food was so disappointing. Never have I been this discouraged about a vacation. The beauty of the ocean and the beach was wonderful. Housekeeping great. Not enough pools. Not enough bartenders or wait staff. If you asked for something different they just didn't answer as if they don't understand.

If I go back to this area I will return to this resort! My favourite was the jungle like centre of the property that is a beautiful jungle oasis with waterfalls and large trees, cool shade. Beautiful walkways and the service was unbelievable fantastic and pleasant to deal with. Good language skills of staff. Also, this hotel but large effort to keep the beach clean. Better than surrounding hotels! Buffet good with lots of options and 2 onsite restaurants on site to give you that night out feeling with great food. You’ll feel guilty because it’s cost is included in the all inclusive package. They also have new outdoor gym structures! Some very CrossFit like rope to climb and boxes to jump, pull down, dumbbells plus an indoor gym overlooking the ocean!

This hotel has a great location on the beach, the pool area is nice as well. Yet, the rooms, food and service is just horrible. It is nothing close to 4 stars hotel, two stars for the maximum. I stayed there with my boyfriend for 2 nights and first room that they gave us was super old furnished rusty mirror and dust everywhere. In the morning I could not sleep because the construction in the lobby area (it was on a first floor) so I asked to move us to another room, which was terrible as well. I couldn’t not eat anything in the hotel besides the bar by the pool with pizza and hot dogs, not too bad. Drinks all have that plastic after taste from the cheap plastic cups. One word terrible.

The hotel itself is pretty nice, small and surrounded by jungles. The beach was beautiful (not enough beds, tho). A lot of seaweed (not their fault, though). The service was not nice. People did not seem to be friendly at all. Also, some areas of the hotel smelled like a sewage. Food was hit or miss. Sometimes it was delicious, sometimes it can give you a food poisoning :(

Small and cute resort with option for all inclusive at a decent price. Love the architecture of this hotel, the space is so well used. Loved the garden and the room. A few negatives still - crowded small beach with lots of engine noise and the pestering of the time share sales team. DO NOT GO GET YOUR WELCOME package. They will call you everyday to remind you to come pick it up and waste your time.

We have stayed at Coco Beach and Playacar. The staff are very professional and courteous at both locations. The resorts themselves have different vibes but they are both very nice and clean. The buffet is decent for buffet food and the restaurants at each of the resorts are wonderful! The only issue we had at both locations is that the rooms have a lot of humidity which causes mold. My wife and mother were very sick after 5 nights and we stayed in separate rooms. Once getting home we all had to wash our clothes 2 times to remove the mold smell. This is very dangerous especially for those who suffer from allergies and/or asthma.

I definitely recommend this hotel. Pro: Just close distance to beach. Beautiful long turquoise beach with every day cleaning algae. Your sun beds with towels. Close access to drinks and snack bar on the beach. Small houses and distance within all area. Private controlled area from city. Good variety of food in breakfast lunch and dinner. Good coffee, alcohol and soft drink. Best food in Mexican and Italian restaurant is included every day. Good fun program on the beach that you can join with perfect animators and Chris was really professional. In the evening walk just 20 minutes to the city where you can see local life with shops and entertainment. Every day cleaning room perfectly. Perfect staff and very nice. Garden is absolutely stunning. Cons: In the front reception you can not take coffee included even if you pay for all inclusive. It is mad. You need to walk distance up to the beach restaurant which is far. You have coffee and ice cream in the reception area just from 4pm and ice cream is far from the beach. From the room you hear people from other rooms because doors and walls are tiny. Fruit is just in breakfast. But vegetables always. Would be good to improve alcoholic beverages and desserts. Too much waste. There is no gym and no Japan restaurant. Overall: I definitely recommend this hotel. Nice stuff and food and cleanliness.

This was a very nice resort. We love the all Inclusive. It was 10 of us. However, most of the hot food was not hot in the main dining. And my friend ended up having salmonella when we got back home. We visited the Reef 28 a couple years ago. We liked that better. Overall they are nice.
