Un séjour unique au cœur de la nature. Pas seulement un endroit pour dormir, mais une veritable expérience qui fût le highlight de notre voyage ! Victor (l'amoureux du maïs!) vous accueille avec son amie sur son domaine où il construit tout lui même. Découverte de la cabane dans l'arbre isolée dans la jungle (c'est vraiment la cabane de rêve tel qu'on peut l'imaginer). Délicieux repas 100% fait maison avec des produits du jardin, mais surtout super soirée ensemble autour du feu. Nuit au son des animaux. Tout simplement parfait... Un lieu unique que j'invite quiconque aimant la nature à se rendre sans hésiter!

The republic of corn is a very unique place in the heart of the Yucatán peninsula ,special tree houses and cabins, all built up with natural materials from the area, surrounded by the jungle and a beautiful Mayan community , food is awesome and mostly with products from the farm... It’s A place to discover more about the Mayan culture and to learn about our sacred and delicious corn. You can learn to make your own tortillas by hand and to prepare tradicional Mayan meals. You can Also learn to make your own hammock and other kind of handcrafts. Fish your own fish in the pond and enjoy the exotic birds from the Mayan jungle... The republic of corn is Definitely a place for you to visit if you are looking for something special and different than the crowded turistic areas...

If you are looking for an authentic place where nothing is superficial but peacefule, open-mind, connect to nature This is the place you have to go ! The experience to live in the jungle is incredible and Victor and Lexie will take care of you, cook the best meal with the simpliest but delicious ingrédients they have the chance to grow there (coconut, mango, avocado, fish) and of course tortillas !

This is the most authentic and lovely place if you want to disconnect. I’ve travelled the Yucatán peninsula a few times and it’s hard to find a great natural escape. This is truly a great permaculture project worth supporting. Great food too! I was able to fish my own meal and share it with the lovely people living here.

There’s some kind of magic happening here. Mayan tradition, hippie generosity, and communion with nature coalesce to create paraíso … Every visit will vary but you can’t go wrong with any combination of tortilla making / corn planting / horseback riding / hammock swinging / tilapia fishing / lagoon swimming / fresh coconut drinking

Perfect get away in the jungle, with a back-to-nature environment. Lots of interesting things to learn about Mayan customs and their farming. Would recommend to anyone who wants some time off from their busy life.
