The Rusty Hook Fishing Charter - 77710 Playa del Carmen

My family and I had the best time fishing with the Rusty Hook crew. Jorge and Carlos are good dudes. Very honest about our chances on targeting fish. We decided to target barracuda even though they told me the last trip didn’t have a lot of luck. We did the first two hours of our trip trolling for cuda and the final two hours anchored fishing the bottom. We got lucky and slammed two barracudas and then caught the hell out of some trigger fish to finish off the trip. My family and I are a fresh water fishing family and we had a blast with THE RUSTY HOOK!!?

The fishing trip was awesome, the crew knew where to go for the bites. I did get a good catch (Barracuda).. Overall a great experience, and they did offer drinks!!

We have no complaints about our trip this morning. The weather was windy and choppy and yet everyone still managed to have fun. After a slow start the crew decided to put us some easy fish. The crew and experience were great to that point. They turned it up a notch after starting back and we trolled again. After hooking three Mahi Mahi pretty quick we made our way back. This is four hours you must do. The communication was flawless and the hospitality was top notch. Make sure to bring cash ,after putting your deposit down, to settle up and have a tip for the crew. We highly recommend the Rusty Hook.

Jorge and Carlos did a great job. No big fish, but they did warn us ahead of time and worked their butts of so we didn't get skunked :) definitely recommend. And it qas nice that he could speak and understand English. Made it a lot easier.

On one of our last adventures in Playa de Carmen we scheduled a fishing trip with the Rusty Hook. I wanted to take my kids fishing seeing it’s something they have wanted to do for so long. The crew was amazing. They helped us with everything and had an awesome sense of humor. The seviche for lunch was made with the fish we caught in the morning. The whole family had a great time. As with fishing there is no guarantee but they made it happen. The smiles on my kids face are priceless and something I’ll never forget. Thank you for the awesome good time. I recommend them with full confidence. Just amazing fun.

Kate was so great with communication. The booking process was easy but unfortunately they had to cancel due to bad weather. I am very happy that they dont take any chances with safety. Kate reached out by email and WhatsApp the evening before and offered to rebook our dates. Unfortunately it didn’t work out and I received my despot back right away. I’ll be reaching back out next time I am in the area.

Excellente!!! These guys are the best! Super cool and polite and extremely helpful the entire trip. Beers and snacks and most importantly landing some awesome fish. Captain knew right where to troll to land some nice mahi mahi. He asked what kind of fish I wanted to go for and i told him mahi mahi and 20 mins into the trip hammered 2 big beauties! Landed a barracuda as well when we thought was a wahoo. Highly highly recommend the Rusty Hook. Awesome crew and good people. They only asked for a $50.00 deposit through paypal, was totally safe and it made me feel good when making reservation and not having to pay more without knowing the company. This charter is the best of the best and deserve a 6 star rating over a 5. They’re the best! Can’t wait to come back next time. As long as the rusty hook is cranking they’re my official fishing charter in Mexico! Awesome Awesome experience! p.s. When i went to pay i accidentally gave the captain more than what the total cost was and he gave me back my cash after counting it then and there. He says in spanish “negocios honestos, amistades para siempre “ which means honest business friendships last forever. That’s the kind of company I want to continue coming too. ????

Amazing time! Professional crew. I caught my limit in fish: barracuda and amber Jack. They took care of my daughters when they got sea sick and even took them back but let me finish my trip. Great time- no complaints.
