Equivocadamente se cree que el monumento ecuestre del actor marca el sitio del accidente.
In this place the plane in charge of the actor and singer Pedro Infante collapsed on the morning of April 15, 1957, who had taken off from the Mérida airport minutes before.
The actor's equestrian monument is mistakenly believed to mark the crash site.
