TIERRAS MAYAS is a Spanish Language School located in the heart of San Cristóbal de las Casas, the cultural capital of the state of Chiapas, Mexico. Located at Hermanos Dominguez #25-A in a lovely neighborhood called Barrio de San Antonio. All of our classes are taught by experienced, native teachers. Our school offers many amenities including classrooms that are fully equipped with whiteboards, desks, and learning materials overlooking the city or located in our garden with a student lounge that has free coffee, water, and Wi-Fi.
We offer a personalized learning program with your choice of one-on-one or group instruction for all levels of Spanish. Our teachers have extensive training in grammar as well as experience using teaching methods, techniques, and a variety of activities to apply what you learn in the classroom to the real world.
T.M. Spanish Language School is a friendly institute that serves as your home base during your stay in San Cristóbal de las Casas. We have students studying here from all different countries. Our built-in class breaks provide an opportunity to interact with other students and teachers exposing you to different cultures from around the world. Very personal, one on one learning, that really gets you immersed in the language. Because of the level this school grew me to in my Spanish, I am able to use Spanish professionally in my job now in the U.S.

I also did a homestay which was perfect as well. Really felt at home with the family and it was a nice experience.

Teachers did not have an organized plan for the lesson, or sheets of somewhat to have a more formal exercise.

I specially enjoyed my classes with Berenice, she's amazing, so professional and friendly. My spanish level grew up the way I wanted. I also liked the garden and the nice view from the first floor classrooms.
The scholl is located in a very nice area in San Cristobal de las Casas just down the mirador of the Iglesia d'El cerrito (also called Iglesia San Cristobalito)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the pleasure to spend a month in language classes here. Super friendly staff and teachers, clean, comfortable school. Grammar and vocab classes were great with a good evaluation of my strengths and weaknesses and helping me reinforce the study path I needed to be on.
Conversation classes were enjoyable also, fun to learn about Mexico and San Cristóbal from the people that lived there and they were always working to improve my skill level as well.
Hope to have the chance to return in the future. Gracias a todos.
