I stumbled across this boutique one evening and met the owner, Cristina. The shop specializes in handcrafted clothing made by Oaxacan artisans. After trying on several tops, I found one I liked but it was a little snug. Cristina offered to make it work by adding crocheted seams down both sides. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but when I picked it up, the shirt looked amazing. Now I have a unique, handmade top that fits me perfectly. And it feels good to support the women who keep these traditional crafts alive. Me topé con esta boutique una noche y conocí a la dueña, Cristina. La tienda se especializa en ropa hecha a mano por artesanos oaxaqueños. Después de probarme varios tops, encontré uno que me gustó pero me quedó un poco ajustado. Cristina se ofreció a hacerlo funcionar agregando costuras de ganchillo en ambos lados. No estaba muy segura de qué esperar, pero cuando la recogí, la camiseta se veía increíble. Ahora tengo una blusa hecha a mano única y me siento bien al apoyar a las mujeres que mantienen vivas estas artesanías tradicionales.
