★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite place for a quick but tasty dinner in Oaxaca. Best Tlayudas I’ve eaten here and I’ve tried a lot. Tacos are great too. Price cannot be beat and comes with guac and salsa. I go several times a week. The owners are also very friendly. After a long day it is a nice ritual to get some tlayudas to go and chow down at home. They are filling but I feel good after eating since they are not greasy. Highly recommend to stop by and you’ll find yourself wanting to go back night after night. I like the mixed tlayuda and tacos, as well as the cow head Mon-Weds to change it up. Will the be place I miss most when I leave. Gracias Don Ramon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Classic hole in the wall experience. You can WhatsApp orders for collection or sit outside on pavement (they have a couple of plastic stools if you're lucky). Tlayudas are possibly the best we had in Oaxaca. Husband and wife very friendly while you wait. If you're expecting amazing local speciality with no frills you won't be disappointed.

This place is clearly popular with the people living in the neighborhood and when we ordered the tlayudas and tacos we found out why - delicious. And Ramon is also very nice. If you are nearby or even even you aren't, make a stop at Don Ramon's for a great meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best tlyuda I have ever eaten in Oaxaca, also the owners (husband and wife) are very kind. I went for the mixto and selected tasajo (steak) and Cecino (pork). Meatless options are available. The meat was juicy, tender and super flavorful. What is special about this place is they prepare the food over coals rather than frying in oil, I ate the entire tyluda and did not feel weighed down after. Also their salsas are bien delicious!!! I believe the red is a Chile pasilla and the green is an avocado guacamole sauce. I will be stopping by in one week before I take my night flight back to San Diego, my airplane food.
