The food was good, not great, but the atmosphere was lovely. Very picturesque. The salsa and chips are freshly made. Salsa is super mild. I bit of pique would have been great. Lemonade is served in a BIG margarita glass. For food lovers seeking more authentic Mexican food, you must try the taco stands along the Main Street. The menu prices are very reasonable, and in U.S. Dollars. The portions are on the smaller scale.
We were told there is live music every day, except Christmas Day so we missed it. We’ll have to go back!

We had 2 dishes from the international food festival: stuffed shrimp and mexican plate for 10.50 USD each. They included a salad and a small dessert. The drinks were good, but they were on the expensive side though.

Bake potato raw/ half cooked. Tampiqueña steak to small, has to ask for tortillas cause they didn't offer you. Wouldn't serve you till your host would be sited down on the table.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here is okay. I was expecting higher quality food because the restaurant has a 4.5 star appearance. I got the Mexican plate and it was ok. My wife got tacos de bistec, I tried one taco and it was good but not restaurant quality. Street vendors are just as good and cheaper. One of daughters got cheese enchiladas and the other beef enchiladas, I tried the beef enchiladas and it lacked flavor. Out of everything I ate the best food here was the chip and salsa. Overall nice place with okay food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had pretty bad service when we first came in. We originally came to have some drunks on their balcony, but there were no tables available, so we sat inside. When we told the server we were just having drinks, he practically dismissed us. We had to keep waving down other servers to get assistance. I didn't have their food because I prefer more authentic Mexican food, especially in Mexico.
As we headed back to our vehicle, we stopped again for "one last beer" but sat at the bar, and our service was STUPENDOUS!!! Mauro and Nabor were super friendly and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Next time, we'll just sit at the bar.
The Bar & Grill is up the escalator, above "Canada Store" which has pretty neat items.
