Torreon Marriott Hotel - 27000 Torreón

The location is great, the food was good, the service was fine. The building has a lot of potential, however it feels very old inside - mainly due to the old style of furniture & decor. It may have looked good 20 years ago, but needs a refresh.

I wouldn't stay here if I didn't need the points for another trip. I got stuck in the elevator and had to pry the doors open to get out. My room phone did not work, no tissues in the room, I was not given the wifi password until I went back to the desk for it. The breakfast is very good, but the cleanliness has suffered. The place is very old and grime has accumulated in the corners. Be careful on the stairs, they are not all the same height. Edit: I decided to give this place another chance. My bad. See the pictures. The Ethernet cover did not fit, the water pressure was dismal and the water never got above lukewarm, the lamp switch was broken, requiring the bulb to be screwed out to turn it off, and the worst was that the bed sheets were too short, meaning your feet were on bedding that did not get changed between occupants. This is just disgusting! The elevator works now, but it stops high on some floors and low on others. Avoid this hotel.

Run down hotel, front desk that doesn't care, old stale food served at dinner. First room I was given was run down. Paint was peeling from the ceiling, hole in the wall and overall run down. Went to the front desk and the staff didn't say a word and just moved me to another room. No paint was peeling but still dark and dingy looking. Front desk does not know about Marriott's policy for check in guarantee and did not honor the check in promise, I am handling with corporate now. Had dinner there one night and the food was stale. Bread, nachos, hamburger bun cracked into 4 pieces after trying to lift it up. Pasta was over cooked, wings said they were bbq but came out as buffalo, wait staff hovered and it felt like they were always watching you. DO NOT STAY HERE

The hotel is ok. My biggest complaint was no hot water in the shower, and the air conditioning did not make the room cool. Also, the bed was made really weirdly - the bottom sheet wasn't fitted, and was tucked in at the head end of the bed, leaving nearly 10 inches of mattress exposed at the foot end. The people are great, and the location is great, but it's not the best stay I've had in Mexico.

Great experience and customer service. Very nice hotels and a breakfast that is one to remember!!! Will definitely be coming back.

Nice Marriott Hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast is delicious and from Mo-Fr you can get lounge access as a titanium member. Pool is nothing special and there is a small gym. There is enough parking around the hotel. Prices at the bar are ok, and the have some good cocktails and some nice bottles of spirit.

Barely a few hours after arriving, we've switched rooms twice, poor quality AC, rooms seem very dated and a musty stench prevails. Definitely not up to the Marriott standards I've grown used to. This is an aberration to the brand name. UPDATE... the following morning they politely tried to mitigate the situation by leaving a cheese, crackers and wine tray in our room; thanks a lot, but remember, there's NEVER a second chance to make a good FIRST impression.
