★ ★ ★ ★ ★ En su sencillez está el tesoro. Desde hace 33 años, Jesús Díaz está a cargo del localito que inauguró su padre en 1949 para calmar el hambre de feligreses con sus ya queridas tortas frías. Como está muy cerca de la Basílica de Guadalupe, en los alrededores siempre hay gente y, por lo tanto, gente formada por una torta para aplacar el hambre.
In its simplicity is the treasure. For 33 years, Jesús Díaz has been in charge of the place that his father opened in 1949 to calm the hunger of parishioners with his beloved cold cakes. As it is very close to the Basilica of Guadalupe, in the surroundings there are always people and, therefore, people formed by a cake to quench hunger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Por medio siglo ese local de tortas ha ofrecido con limpieza y esmero tortas sabrosas, nada grasosas ni atascadas. En su oferta hay tortas de sardina y paté que no es algo común. Junto con las tortas de La Casa del Pavo son mis favoritas.
For half a century, this cake shop has cleanly and carefully offered tasty cakes, not greasy or jammed. In their offer there are sardine cakes and pate, which is not something common. Along with the cakes from La Casa del Pavo they are my favorites.

Son tortas de tipo frio (salchicha,jamón,queso,sardina,pate).
Ahi me llevaban a comer mis jefes después de salir de la primaria y siguen sabiendo igual.

Es una lugar muy pequeño solo para llevar. Suele haber fila de espera. Y tiene una variedad muy clásico en cuanto a tortas frías.
Fui con mi padre y es común el escuchar a personas mayores que recuerdan en su juventud comer ahí mismo.
Los precios son razonables, rondando los $35 por torta.
Definitivamente si vienen a La Basílica y quieren comer algo rápido es una opción ideal.
