★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here on a bike ride across the island because of their 50-peso special. The owner was very sweet and kind and the food was quite tasty. The menu of the day included beans and rice and tortillas and salsa. Dessert was also included. I think they have a regular menu of tortas and tacos but the daily menu is the real deal! We will be back next week! (Also, COVId related...they were very careful about cleaning and sanitizing things)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tortas y Tacos is a great place for lunch. If anyone follows my reviews, you'll know I love an authentic local place with all the charm and practicality of local culture, and a great price.
We were eating at a simple table (covid-19 clean) and shaded with two wonderful palm trees. What's more beautiful and Cozumel than this tropical scene!
Our family host and hostess made sure that we were taken care of well. Homemade food with local seasoning ( additional hot sauce if desired.) Lunch for 50 pesos .... Entree, tortillas, rice and beans, including dessert. The flan was so authentic and totally delicious. We're returning next week. Don't miss this gem!
