Tortuga Gardens, Ruben and his family are absolutely great. A paradise with hummingbirds, bananas and coconuts. Everything is very clean and the service is impeccable. Wifi works well. There is rarely a power cut. We will definitely come again. Thank you Ruben for 5 nice weeks! Tortuga Gardens, Ruben und seine Familie sind absolut spitze. Ein Paradies mit Kolibris, Bananen und Kokosnüssen. Alles sehr sauber und der Service ist einwandfrei. Wifi funktioniert gut. Es gibt nur selten Stromausfall. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank Ruben für 5 tolle Wochen!

Great for couples. The turtles are very cool when they take a dip in the pool. Travel memories galore...hostess travels while family runs the business.

[Originally posted to AirBnB. Trip was in June 2021.] My wife and I absolutely loved staying 5 weeks at Tortuga Gardens! By the end it felt like home and it was difficult to say goodbye. Ruben and his charming family live next door so if any needs arise he is quick to respond via text or come by in person to provide a solution. The property is immaculately maintained and clean. The neighborhood and building feels safe. The rooms are spacious, have great natural lighting, the beds are comfortable, and most importantly the ACs work very well. The maid cleans 3 times a week. There are only 3 units so there is a relaxed atmosphere. All the guests we met were friendly and courteous. There are 2 different internet connections for maximum connectivity, and the speed is good for Mexico (20 mbps download, 5 upload), though a bit slow compared to what we're used to in Houston. My wife and I were able to work remotely and do video calls. Ruben is working on a big upgrade to 200 mbps internet in the near future so that will make remote work a safe bet. Ruben is a professional divemaster so he is a great resource for anyone wanting to scuba dive. He knows "everyone" so he can help connect you with a good dive company, obtain rental gear, has a great gear washing and drying station for the guests to use, and offers private lessons for those needing a little help after a few years off. He knows all the best spots to shore dive, snorkel or just relax on a sandy beach. There is a Sam's club and Bodega Aurrora (supermarket) 1 block away. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. A taxi to the ocean or centro (downtown) is about $3-4. We rented a car which is obviously more convenient for lugging wet scuba gear to the marina, or to drive around the island on a whim. After a short adjustment period I found the "chaos" of driving in Cozumel to actually be a lot more relaxed and felt safer than driving in Houston. The key is that nobody is on their phones - they're all paying attention! Plus you're never driving more than about 35 mph. We are already dreaming about or next trip back to Cozumel & Tortuga Gardens.

Absolutely loved our stay! Hosts were amazing! There's bikes available to use, fantastic pool and suite is really well equipped. Super clean as well which was so great! We will be back!
