Tótem Cafetería de Barrio - 82000 Mazatlán

4.5/5 based on 8 reviews

Amazing spot. The service was a bit confusing and the beer we ordered they didn't have. The roof top is really cool but the waiters were totally lost and there was only 3 tables upstairs. In the other hand the food is incredible. One dish in particular the eggs Benedict Mexican style...so good. So for the overall I would recommend and come back for sure.

What a cute breakfast/brunch spot with various food and drinks selections. I loved their latte and burrito de chicharron. Do yourself a favor and add shrimp. One plate is more than enough. The chilaquiles were also quite delectable. Service was stupendous and their green drink was savory. The black beans were nice, but a little dry.

I had a Thai soup that was quite good but not amazing. I sat on the terrace and it was relatively quiet with a nice view. There was an opera singer in the next table who spontaneously broke out in song, I guess he had a couple glasses of wine but he had a good voice so it was a nice treat. I had the ribs and they were amazing, falling off the bone. I wish they had wet wipes but the bathroom was quite beautiful for a end of meal hand wash. The service was very good and I will return again one day. I do recommend this restaurant for a group of 4-6, they have an excellent bar

The BEST place, food and rooftop! Daniel and Alejandro are amazing visionaries and have execellent taste in food and ambiance amongst many other things. We came for a takeout pastry and superb coffee, tea, horchata and blended drinks… and loved the place so much we made dinner reservations for two hours later. It didn’t disappoint! Best poutine I’ve ever had, (my whole group tasted ot and ordered another platter after having mouth-gasim’s) and though I’m sadly gluten free I had a bite of the shrimp chipotle alfredo and it was totally worth it! Perfection!! Watched the sun set over the cathedral from our spot in the rooftop.

We've only been for coffee and pastries and both are very good. The owner told me they bake the pastries onsite daily. The banana bread with chai mouse covered in chocolate sounds like a crazy mix but it sooo good!! They have an excellent selection of coffee drinks, if you want to be brave and try something new with your coffee, this is the place. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because every visit the most of the wait staff seems confused and always slow with the flow from start to finish. And we may have just gotten new staff each time, so be patient and you will enjoy the experience.

Delicious, fresh, local food. I had the swordfish with added shrimp. The eggs were excellent, fresh salad, nice drinks (lots of smoothie & coffee drink options. Cute atmosphere & great service. They were kind to translate for us.

Best Eggs Benny I have ever had! I went here a couple of times, sat on the rooftop, and the bar middle level. Good, courteous service both times, immediately seated where I requested. Great cup of coffee (now that I have worked out how to ask for americano with two shots!). But the eggs benny was simply brilliant! Mexican style ingredients without sacrificing the intent of the dish, and a perfectly poached egg, which is challenging to achieve!

Cool place, food and drinks are great too. However, the service is just terrible. There is empty tables and still they have us and other people just wait downstairs. We manage to get a table to sit and wait for the empty table downstairs, but we could not order anything, because then we could not get a table on the top floor. Just seem like the staff cares 0% about the guests comfort and stay here. Will go back again and see if we were just unlucky this time, would like to give it a better rating.
