★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abel was friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience. Saw many wild animals and Calakmul ruins in the middle.of the jungle were the best we saw. He was 30 minutes late but maybe that's just Mexican? Haha. Definitely recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WISH I COULD PUT 0 STARS! I do not recommend at all! Jesus met us before for a meet and greet happy to take our money and accept a beer and then left straight away. The next day no one showed up for the tour and they weren't answering their phones. I am glad they took our deposit and not the whole amount but please do not use these guys it is a SCAM! They had no intention of doing the tour which in the end we ended up seeing the temples ourselves. We heard back from Able a couple of days ago however after saying he will return the deposit money he has not done this!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abel was really good with communication via WhatsApp, and we organised the tour with flexibility on the days he offered. Paid on collection in the morning once we arrived at breakfast (real tasty empanadas!) then had the full day tour of the reserve, ruins and bat cave with Giovani as our guide. He was hilarious the whole time, very knowledgeable and helpful throughout. At the end of the day the guys even organised us a shared taxi back to Chetumal. Great and would recommend based on my experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had An amazing tour day with Abel as our guide! We booked a tour with Abel the day before our planned visit. For a moment we were afraid he stood us up in the morning as he was 'late'. LUCKILY, this was not the case!! It was our own fault as XPUJIL is in a different time zone! Please Be aware of this, we fooled ourselves by waking up an hour too early AND therefore tought Abel was an hour too late. I assume this situation happened to the other People too... Abel is a really awesome guide, we saw monkeys, crocodiles, tarantulas and much more! He is so friendly and is absolutely the best guide we had in Mexico. He Will NOT dissapoint you! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great tour today with Abel. We did a nice hike where we spotted crocodiles, deer, lots of different birds an monkeys. Afterwards he took us to see the ruins of calakmul. Nice to get the full story whilst walking amongst the ruins. We finished of with a visit to the bat cave, just as they were starting to flock out. The whole tour took us about 11 hours and was really nice. I can’t relate to some of the bad reviews. It’s a really nice guy who cares for the nature. He even took more pictures of the animals than us.
Btw we didn’t have to pay a deposit or any such thing. He picked us up and we paid at the end of they day. The price was 1800 pesos (1500 without the bats)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not book a tour with Abel / Jesus. We were supposed to be picked up in the morning at our hotel, but after a hour of waiting no one arrived. They did not respond to any of our calls, text messages and WhatsApp messages. In the afternoon they send us a message stating that: “Hi good afternoon Caspar, I'm very sorry that we forgot you didn't remember to much booking and Whatsapp message and I hope you went today to Calakmul”.
Forgetting your customers; a great way to run your business..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great day tour with Abel! He is a very friendly, fun and knowledgeable guide! We saw a crocodile family, monkeys, tarantulas and wait for it! We were very lucky and saw a puma on the road. He also told us a lot of info about the Maya culture and flora. Best to reach Abel directly on the phone or what'sapp. Totally recommend the tours with Abel! ?

Even though there are some negative reviews, we really felt Abel was a genuine human. He was very informative/educational, considerate and funny/quirky.
He was the opposite of a scam artist in our experience as he took us on the bat cave tour for free after the jungle and Calakmul tour.
I can understand how his admin team can mess up time to time due to how requested the tours can get, but Abel himself we are sure that he doesn't have a bad bone in his body.
