Visitcalakmul arranged a very nice bird watching trip for me with Ezequiel. Kary was very helpful, and Ezequiel the best guide you could wish for. He knows everything about birds and managed to let me have good views on many special birds. Thanks a lot!

Had a problem with my Cancún rental car and needed help. Kari was amazing! She helped me develop a strategy to get the problem resolved with the least possible impact on my travel schedule. In retrospect...there is NO WAY, especially with my rudimentary Spanish, I could have affected such a positive outcome on my own! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! ?

The visit to the community of craft workers (20 de noviembre) exceeded my expectations in all respects. The attention of the hosts was excellent, they are grateful and happy to receive visits to their workshops. I participated in the textile (Hilos de vida) and wood (Kanan Ché) workshop, it was very interesting to make crafts but more special for my was meet the craftsmen, Doña Rosa, David and their family. These people really love what they do and convey that feeling to visitors.

Kary was very helpful in assisting me plan my solo trip to Calakmul. She provided maps and information and booked a private taxi for me. Definitely stop here the day before you plan to visit Calakmul. This visitor center was very helpful!

Great way to find out information about hidden gems (sites and activities) in Calakmul. Annabel is very helpful and knowledgeable, and - despite what she says - speaks perfect English!

we did the following with Visit Calakmul: Wood Working Workshop and lunch at 20 de Noviembre Calakmul day trip with jungle trail and bat cave Hormiego Ruins and trail (walking) everything was great. The quality of the hosts and guides was outstanding as well as the support from Anable to figure out what we actually wanted was very flexible and forthcoming, despite slow and delayed responses from us. Keep in mind to best contact them 5-7 days before you want to come (shorter notice period was also possible in our case, but it was going towards low season).

We were so impressed with this organization! Kary, the administrator, was very professional and well-informed. She made great efforts to accommodate our last-minute requests. I love what this organization is doing, supporting local communities in eco-tourism. We stayed at a cabaña in Castellot one night, and it was a super experience. The people in charge welcomed us, and the cabin was clean and comfortable. We visited the Hormiguero site with Enrique, a superb guide. We so enjoyed our visit there, both for its rich flora and fauna and wonderful archaeological site, and Enrique's excellent explanations. Our time and interactions in Calakmul were one of the highlights of our trip overall. We highly recommend VisitCalakmul!
