Beautiful experience, picturesque crossing the reserve with the van on a road, if we can define it like this, launched towards the rendezvous point with the lances. The negative notes were the 2 and a half hours waiting before leaving (they gave us an appointment at 8, they are maddeningly slow), the open bar (which is equivalent to 2 crowns per person, 2 half-liter bottles of water, coca cola and bad quality tequila) and the return by van faster than the outward journey due to the hour (we returned at 18). The food we ate at the peak allen village is very good, even if it was self service like the canteen, we ate quickly because the guides pressed us to return. For the rest, the reserve offers everything that nature can give us: dolphins, eagles, turtles, alligators, beaches, fish, corals, etc etc ... a spectacle of a thousand colors that thrilled me to the end. As for the weather, the day was not clear, the weather then improved but despite the light the place is suggestive (bring at least 50 protection in case of a sunny day). Ah it is mandatory to wear a life jacket on the spears and in the water and they do not tell you, so if you are in the mood to shoot the coral reef, arm yourself with suitable equipment.

It was good until at the end the guide Alex stayed with our back ... Something to improve, on the boat they left us alone with a radio, nothing was understood, the guide went to the other boat that had Germans, they should have 2 guides or a bigger boat. Information was good, we saw everything but the attitude of the opaque ending something that was good.

Very surprised Thomson have this trip in their portfolio. From the outset they were half an hour late picking us up so he drove like a maniac to downtown Tulum to some reception centre where we were introduced to guide Arturo who gave us a briefing. Arturo spoke good English. Loaded us into a 12 seater air con mini bus and we set off with a couple of others following. Reached the jungle dirt road which was literally a track full of craters deep puddles and hard bumps which was unpleasant for a 25mile ride. Saw no wildlife on this jungle safari. Handed a piece of fruit and a 200ml bottle of water. Reached the speedboats, everyone looking for a toilet. Was informed by Arturo we would have to squat in the jungle with no privacy??? Waded out to speedboats and given life jackets. Taken out to sea with no refreshments at the hottest part of the day between 11am.-1pm. Saw little wildlife here either which I understand you may not always guarantee a sighting..but the chasing of a mother and baby dolphin by 6 speedboats didnt feel good to me. After this there was a bit of swimming in the open sea then taken back in to paddle in a lagoon. After this we taken to a jetty and had to climb precariously out of the boats. A few people slipped and its a nasty accident waiting to happen. Then we were taken to what looked like a derelict shack but turned out to be our lunch venue. The food was abysmal. Boiled rice boiled chicken. Something that looked like custard that i was told was mashed potates, some pork dish and a dodgy looking fish. Didnt expect gourmet but for the price we paid for the excursion we expected better than that! Anyway. After lunch it was back to the boats and another hour on the speedboats back to the jeeps and then back to hotels via Tulum. Arturo did his best to be fair but Thomson you really dont want to be associated with this set up. Its unprofessional in the extreme and to me its dangerous. This trip is NOT suitable if you are physically disabled in anyway, pregnant or not completely fit. Rethink Thomson until they get their act together. Biggest waste of £300 ever.

Simply put - whatever the tour people tell you, it's not true. The photos, the info on the website, etc is untrue. Different vehicles, different expectations, etc. One of the very few times in my life I contacted the credit card company to contest payment due to fraudulent misrepresentation and failure to deliver services advertised.

Late Pickup, never went in a Jeep, everyone wants big tips at the end of the tour. We paid for photos and provided our emails they never sent us pictures just stole our money. Only good thing was boat ride.

This company is a scam. Do not book with them! They easily took my payment but did not follow up with email confirmation or pickup time like all the tour companies in the area. Their website is a facade and legitimate reviews are difficult to find many accounts that rated them highly look fake.
