★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was delicious. Food that is of this locality. The waitresses were very hospitable and gave recommendations on the menu. The restaurant itself it exceptional as well as the service. My dinner choice was an excellent one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down, one of the best places to eat and not as pretentious or expensive as Casa Oaxaca. Awesome location right in the zocálo. Great seafood dishes and the raw oysters are spot. Plus, unlike Casa Oaxaca, they always have lechon. Everytime I take visitors there they go back several times. Enough said.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our first meal in Oaxaca and it blew our mind. Everything that we ate was amazing. The pic is of a wild mushrooms in olive oil and it was like nothing we have ever tasted before. For the main meal we had a Mar y Tierra skewer on wild rice that was delicious. The lemonade was delicious and I couldn’t stop drinking it. Will come again before we leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best place around the Zocalo. We really loved the live around the Zocalo. Nice juices for breakfast, and also good food for economic prices.
There or other highly recommended restaurants in Oaxaca - this one isn't one of it. But those are all located in the inner side or on a terrace, which lack the musicians and vendors passing by. So great to experience at least once if you stay for a few days in Oaxaca.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good restaurant with an outstanding partial view of the plaza in Oaxaca. I was on the second floor level for my dinner. Food was your typical midscale taste and quality, nothing spectacular. I wouldn't put this restaurant in the fine-dining category because it isn't. They do have a great selection of beer and anything alcohol related, which is great for someone like me who's into stouts, IPAs... etc. Overall it's not an amazing experience but it's not a terrible one either. Above average is what it is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first meal in Oaxaca was here. Upstairs seating overlooking the plaza was nice. I ordered the corn and poblano pepper soup, and a crab meat salad. I enjoyed both dishes. Downstairs may be a little loud for some. If you are noise sensitive, choose upstairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cream corn and poblano soup was stellar. I'd come again just for that. The flan was the best I've had in Oaxaca. The crab tortillas were also good, but it was a type of crab I'm not familiar with. The service and view were excellent. The staff confirmed that tips left on a Visa card are given to the staff. Here's your chance to be a big tipper. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.
