★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Transportadora y Ejecutiva Tierra del Sol SA is probably the longest name of any bus company serving the Central Camionera of Oaxaca. I'm thinking people must refer to it more simply as Tierra del Sol or possibly TS.
I talked to these people about a trip from this Oaxaca station to the Camionera of Tijuana. The cost is about ten dollars less than flying there in four hours on Volaris.
Notice this company will take you all the way to San Quentin. I forgot to check on the price of a ticket to La Paz. Imagine going there on a bus from Oaxaca via Tijuana.
I get this feeling from Volaris that its business plan is to attract bus travelers and in this way weaken and reduce bus traveler in Mexico so people here are left with no other option than to fly. At this point, Volaris will be free to charge much more to fly about and people will have no choice but to pay whatever they want. But could this be true?
