Not just as a tour guide, but as a local - she was so generous with her time and was so happy to share some of the best recommendations for what to do and where to eat. One such recommendation was for this excellent taco cart that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. We had tacos there multiple times during our stay in San Miguel. We had booked this experience with Marimar through AirBnB on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the best things we did to kick off our stay - it would not have been as good without Marimar's guidance at the beginning of our stay because we were enabled through her to experience San Miguel as the locals would have, not just as the tourists we were. Highly recommend you do this!!

She gave us valuable information about the town's history, art, places to visit and tips on the best ways to navigate the area by ourselves. -I highly recommend a tour with Miramar, she is professional, knowledgeable and a true pleasure to deal with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On February 4, 2020, we began our one-week stay in San Miguel de Allende, with a walking tour of the downtown area, led by Marimar Gonzalez of Marimar Travel. The context she provided made our holiday much more meaningful. Marimar has a thorough and impressive knowledge of San Miguel's rich history, including its architecture. Also, she has a warm and engaging personality, and her English is very good. I strongly recommend her tour, even to those who have been to San Miguel before.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our group of six booked a walking tour of San Miguel del Allende through Marimar Travel. It was an interesting and informative overview, but the best part was Marimar. She is so friendly and personable that she made it seem as if a friend was giving us a tour of the city. We then booked an all-day tour of Guanajuato that was wonderful in the same way. She took us to places we wouldn't have discovered on our own and added many details that made the experience special. She deserves the highest recommendation we can give.
