Young people who offered to teach me to do the surfing! On this magical beach, I climbed on a board for the first time and took my first wave. I met people from all levels rent here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jair and David gave us excellent surf lessons and introduced us to wave reading. They even took us to a beach further south with some other surfers (mojon beach). The point break there was awesome! Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriend speaks no spanish and wanted to learn to surf. Jair speaks fluent english and is a great teacher. After four lessons shes now catching waves on her own and slowly improving. We highly recommend learning with Tropical surf.

looking for a rental or a lesson. The prices are more than reasonable and the staff seems to be very accomodating. My girlfriend and I took a lesson from David and he was an excellent instructor. We are complete beginners and yet we both managed to catch a wave or two in an hour lesson. They most likely won't be at the shop when you arrive but have phone numbers posted, expect to schedule a lesson/rental rather than walking up and getting serviced immediately.
Update: took another lesson when I returned to the area a year later and it was a great experience. Received a lot of great instruction to help me improve. Would still recommend to anyone in the area looking to learn.
