TRS Yucatan Hotel - 77710 Playa del Carmen

We stayed in a Romance Bungalow. It was beautiful and came with butler service. They were very attentive, even went above and beyond to retrieve my abandoned watercraft. The bartender Alfredo was the best! He not only mixed the best cocktails in all the connected resorts but was extremely intelligent, funny, personable, and entertaining. The only thing I would change is having double sided see through mirrored doors on the bathroom in the bungalow. Nothing romantic about being able to see your spouse dropping a douce.

This place overall was good! Food- excellent! Only downside is the hours of the buffet were limited. Also, you had to make a reservation for any specialty restaurant- which you would want to do days in advance due to the poor availability. There were several times we were eating at the buffet and no drink order was taken for over twenty minutes. Plates would sit for a long time too. Room- BEAUTIFUL. Got the garden villa 63 and our butlers were super helpful. However, the room did have a musty smell and our sheets frequently had stains on them. Housekeeper cleaned the rooms well. The ice machine in our villa did not work though. Beach- 0/10 practically nonexistent. Pools- many choices! The infinity pool is beautiful but beyond windy. The ocean pool was nasty looking. The main pool with the swim up bar was the best. Overall- the price is steep for what you get. I think its no better than a cheaper resort. I probably wont come back but it was a nice experience. Be mindful it is 1 hr and 20 minutes from the airport!

We had the pleasure of staying here for 7 nights, with the intention to do a few day trips outside of the resort. However, it was so luxurious just being here that we never left. The service is out of this world - I've never had better - every experience with the staff here was positive. TRS is the adults only resort on the Grand Palladium. They have 7 adults only restaurants with a wide variety to choose from. I am a very picky eater and I enjoyed nearly everything I ate. There are two restaurants open for breakfast and lunch, both are wonderful. Then 5 or 6 different ethnic restaurants open for dinner only. They have a grill going every day near the adults only infinity pool that cooks up something new every day - this was a great place to eat lunch when by the pool. The drinks are top shelf and always flowing! So many bars, very little wait. You can truly get anything you want. The grounds are clean, the beach is nice. There are daily activities put on by their POP group - Ianko, Fernanda, Abraham, and Karla were so much fun and put out very engaging activities from pool workouts to tequila tasting to guacamole making. There is always nightlife to tend to. the other resort-goers were friendly, clean, and polite as well - a lot of couples and friend groups. The gym is open, but fitness classes were not running due to COVID. I'm a runner and love to run outdoors, they have designated running routes throughout the resort. 2x around the grounds is about a 5 mile run and paths were clear as long as you were our running by 7am. The villa we stayed in had a morning butler and evening butler - these two, Susana and Rogelio, were AMAZING. They solved every problem we had, booked our reservations and activities, made sure everything was taken care of - the consistently over-delivered. We cannot wait to go back!!! We love TRS and look forward to staying at their resorts in other locations.

Great place! Not sure where to start.. Staff here is friendly and very helpful at all times. After reading some reviews I'm not sure if some of them are true, about room service, it's great, with this been big property they still managed to get food to our room withing 25-35 minutes. We booked villa with private pool on the first floor and we love it (altho walls are thin and sometimes you hear your neighbors, but it didn't bother us) with having such huge selection of restaurants we still managed to try all of them and more then once. Never had to wait in line, booked our dinners in advance of one or 2 days and always get hours we wanted,! Pool service is great, food by the pool as well! We are still here as I'm writing this :)... Next time will be back with family!

Best resort I've stayed at. The food is amazing, and as a vegetarian that can sometimes be hard to find. The pools, cabañas and the grounds as a whole is well kept, beautiful and serene. The POP activities were definitely my favourite part. As someone who doesn't want to lounge all day the POP team had lots of activities to take part in such as water aerobics, water bikes and my favourite, paddle board yoga. The team themselves were great people. Abraham and Fernanda were two people that made us feel welcome and part of their POP family. The bar tending staff at the infinity pool were great as well. They all work so hard!

Edit—— Our nighttime butler was really helpful and attentive to our issue. He contacted his supervisors and found a resolution. Thank you Jorge for your help! I’ve written two reviews about the service outside of the room which was great. But we had a sink leak and wet our clothes. We expressed the issue and did not receive a solution. We also had a shower that smelled like dirty plumbing water but that was resolved in a timely manner. I can’t complain too much and we did enjoy our stay. I do wish they were more accommodating to us and our property

Where do I begin, we traveled 10 hrs from England to find ourselves in the most stunning hotel. Our butler was incredibly helpful and spoke perfect English. We stayed in Villa 70 which had a jacuzzi on the balcony which was nice on the couple of showery days we had. We had a meet and greet with the hotel manager who was efficient and expressed a deep appreciation for the staff and took pride in his role. The hygiene was 10/10 The staff and all the cleaners were amazing and so polite they held a high professional service with pride . The French and Italian restaurants 10/10 All the restaurants were really good but the French and Italian were amazing. We spent many days by the infinity pool where the entertainment staff kept us busy with numerous activities, Especially Carla and Abraham whose energy was fantastic and they joined in with all the guests. Fernanda was very caring when I got sun burn and covered me in Aloe Vera which really helped. If I had staff like this back at England my business was be serviced by the best constantly. Top notch service and beautiful grounds. I really love the butler service and how attentive they are to your request. However, I’m giving this hotel 3 stars because the food is so bland here and it is never at warm temperature even with the dinner reservations. I am a foodie and I want good food traveling. If you love to eat good food, this is not the place for you. Also, no different food selections. My husband and I are here for a week and we are sick of eating the same foods. Definitely need a better variety of foods. I loved the bartender Alfredo, makes amazing drinks. Cons: -No 24 hr snack bar at the adults only resort. You have to take a shuttle to the family resort. That doesn’t sit well with me considering I don’t want to see kids on my vacation. There should be a snack bar on the adults side. -No microwave in the room, the room service food 90% of the time is cold when it arrives to the room. - The restaurants are not delicious at all, no flavor to any of the food. They need to learn how to season food.
