Still have nighmares with this place. We had booked a tubo, which (as we found out during the first night) turned out to have a completely moldy mattress. Next morning we asked for a new room, first they told us there was none, but then they did relocate us after insisting. Shortly after that, we saw how they gave the moldy tubo to a newly arrived couple. Toilet facilities were ok, air conditioning also ok. But would not recommend.

Awesome concept- poorly executed. I spent 2 nights here. Anything more would be too much. Unfortunately the air conditioner had mold inside and the stench was overpowering. The AC unit was oversized for such a small area and caused it to be way too cold. My boyfriend had to adjust the swivel mechanism in the A/C manually since it was broken in our tube because it just was straight on our faces. There was also no fan speed adjustment is just blew directly on high. So you can choose between being in a smelly ice chest or sauna. Also when we were shown our tube our bed sheets visibly had dirt on them and the bed was perpetually damp. Also the kitchen was closed due to Covid so If you were hoping to cook your own meals like we were- too bad.

One of the most beautiful hostel we ever stayed at. The dome shaped room was absolutely one of a kind, cute and cozy. The open area in between had these cute wooden carved seats, hammocks and plenty of trees. People were allowed to use the kitchen, the bathrooms were very clean despite being shared bathrooms. The staff were friendly.

Pros: Breakfast is decent for being "free" (apples, eggs which you can cook yourself, basic cereal and milk, coffee, sugar, white bread, marmalade, and butter). Free drinking water which has been pre-boiled and cooled. Shared bathrooms are spacious and pretty clean considering the traffic. I enjoyed the natural-like setting among urbanized Tulum. Just to the left is Ola Bike which is a major bike rental company in the area, very convenient! The hostel also rents out bikes but they only have like 2 or 4 so they are quickly gone. Definitely get a bike because it's a 15-20 minute walk into the main parts of town. Across from Chedraui grocery store which is convenient. Cute dogs and cat in the common areas. Cons: Tubes are smaller than expected but the photos are pretty accurate in retrospect so maybe it was just me. There is only a tiny shelf inside that runs the length of the bed horizontally so your backpack and luggage will likely have to squeeze under the bed. It's pretty hot and muggy in the area so you have to blast the AC and be freezing (you only get a thin sheet for the bed, no real blanket), or put up with a humid room. No place to hang items dry. Lots of mosquitos on the property and I stayed in December so can't imagine how summer is like, but I saw other travelers hanging out in the open. Bring your own shampoo/soap/conditioner and towels for showering; there is a basket of shared amenities but this varies depending on the generosity of past guests.

Fair price & excellent location, there are tents, "tubes" & small bedrooms. Starting price is around 25 US per night so it goes up to 55 US depending on your choice. Ideal for couples cause I reserved for 1 person but travelled with my girl so it was awesome for couples.

Slept in the tent option. It was the cheapest way to stay in Tulum for a night. Clean and good vibes.

Do not stay here if you are claustrophobic. You have literally two feet' when you enter until your bed. You need to keep the ac on 16 all night becuase it gets so humid that the bed gets wet and will need to sleep with pants and jacket.staff are not welcoming.and the showers were not cleaned the 3 days we stayed there.the tube only fits 1 person comfortably.wifi is good if you sleep in the first 3 tubes though.

As many people point out, the air conditioning is not appropriate for the tubes. It's too strong, too loud and gets too cold and with a specific smell. If you turn it on the room quickly gets too cold, even if you set a higher temperature it seemed to only have cooling mode. If you turn it off the room quickly gets really hot. The ventilation is very little on the tubes, ideally there should be something like 1 AC per 3 tubes connected by ventilation and kept at a globally confortable temperature like 20°C We were also sad that for some reason we couldn't take a bike but we did not understand why, (it was not very well explained) as they all seemed to be standing there unused as we were some of the first people awake and this was one of the reasons we looked forwardto this accommodation. The breakfast was nice, some fruits, bread, jam, butter, eggs for you to freely cook and the local helper made pancakes for everyone but they were only ready a bit later so we almost missed that. I wish the kitchen part would be better cleaned/in a better condition. The toilet is right next/behind the kitchen/eating place and everything is open so you will mutually hear and smell each other, if you know what I mean. While the price was affordable I would not wish to sleep here another night
