TL;DR Tulum Diving Center is 11/10. The Cenotes are worth a tour at minimum. Open water also really fun. Visit, stay a while, dive a bunch! Tulum Diving Center is above and beyond. Whether it's a cavern tour, certifications, open water dives, whatever kind of diving you want to do here in Tulum, TDC has you covered. You can rest assured you will be diving on good gear that is not only well maintained but often upgraded. I was diving on really great rental gear. I was with them for 6 days. 5 days with Craig in the Cenotes and 1 day with Hector open water. Craig was the best instructor anyone in Tulum could ask for, he instructed me through my side-mount and cavern certifications. It was 2 dives a day with transport provided by TDC, just meet at the dive shop in the morning. 5 days left plenty of time to do both side-mount and cavern certs, in fact day 1 was a cavern tour with 2 other Tulum tourists. So training was mostly over the following 4 days and all 5 days were a privilege. Nervous about Cavern diving? Don't be, almost everywhere you go during Cavern Certification is nice and wide and I never once felt claustrophobic (Going in I was... a bit apprehensive). If I think it's worth getting Cavern certified I 1000% think it's worth taking a cavern tour with TDC. My last day was with Hector open water in the afternoon. Where the cenotes were beautiful and mysterious, the reef and life in it was equally impressive. Spotted Moray Eel, tons of coral life and many things I don't know the names of, but all fun. Some coral structures you can dive under/through which are neat. Hector is a great Dive Master. I lost my mask getting in for the first dive and he not only noticed before me, but had my mask back in my hand in no time.

Our experience with Tulum Diving Center was awesome! We took a PADI open water certification + 2 extra dives with Cathy in December, 2021. She has over 11,000 dives logged and every PADI certification there is. More importantly, she is a great instructor and committed to safety, proficiency, and having a fun experience. We did skills in a secluded cenote that we had practically to ourselves. Finished with open water boat dives and then had 2 additional guided dives through the caverns at dos ojos. HIGHLY recommended!

Craig and Cathy are wonderful PADI Course Directors (highest level of certification) and lead Tulum Diving Center with a personal touch. Three friends and I recently completed Open Water Diver training over three days, including eLearning, confined water and open water dives in local cenotes and open water ocean boat dives. I would highly recommend Tulum Diving Center. Their instruction is practical, thorough, and made learning fun.

I visited Tulum at the beginning of 2022 with a group 4 divers. We visited 4 different cenotes over 3 days in Tulum, and also took a ride up to Playa del Carmen to do a wreck and a reef dive with them. Each cenote was unique and interesting and they did a great job tailoring the cenotes visited to our group's skillset. Cathy and Craig are amazing course directors with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have also had the pleasure of diving and training with them outside of Tulum, so I know first hand how great they are as instructors. If you are looking for a training dive shop or just looking for a dive tour in/around Tulum, Tulum Diving Center has experienced instructors on staff that will personally take care of your training and guiding. This is the shop to go with!

Some of the loveliest people you’ll meet diving! We dove both the Bat Cave & the Barbie Line at Dos Ojos with Craig. The whole day was relaxed & enjoyable, which was perfect for our first time doing cavern dives, especially as I was a little nervous. Craig is very knowledgeable, friendly, & patient. We met Kathy too who is equally lovely! I can highly recommend diving with Tulum Diving Center!

I did my Dive Master Certification with Tulum Diving Center in May 2021. The course took 9 days & was taught by Cathy. The experience was amazing. The course was very challenging, but the dive shop was professional & well appointed. All the staff was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. There were no language issues. All the dive sites were excellent, and Tulum Diving Center works closely with local and indigenous people to support local diving and the community. When (not if) I go back to Tulum, I won't dive with anyone else.

We did the three day Open Water Diver certification here. The course was well organized with two days in Casa Cenote and one day in the ocean. It's so brilliant to start your diving experience in a cenote and not a swimming pool! Our instructor Hector did an awesome job. He explained things really well and made us feel very safe. He's just a really friendly and open-hearted guy, not only giving plenty of diving advice, but also making the whole three days a lot of fun! During the training dives, after doing our exercises, was plenty of time to dive through the Cenote, which I found the highlight of the course! Definitely something very very special! Thank you very much (pictures by Casa Cenote Team)

I had a fantastic experience with Tulum Diving Center. Myself and a few other PADI professionals (instructors and Divemasters) chose them to guide us on several cavern dives around Tulum, as well as a wreck and reef dive in Playa del Carmen. Cathy and Craig did not disappoint. They are obviously extremely knowledgeable and highly focused on safety and quality equipment (which is particularly important in the caverns and caves). I would trust them any day with everything from Open Water to Cavern and Divemaster certifications, as well as just top-notch guided dives in some of the best spots Tulum has to offer.
