The staffers were very well versed and knew what they were teaching us and were extremely nice to us. They informed us that later that night they were going to release some baby tortoises and told us to come back to help. When we came back there was a light crowd and the 15 or so of us were given buckets, a little sand and the babies. Then we released them into the ocean, this was the highlight of our trip and I would very highly recommend giving them a visit

When a turtle is spotted laying eggs, these eggs are harvested and transferred to this site for protection against predators and unintentional damages by people. Several years ago while walking on the beach we helped baby turtles trying to reach the water while disappointed birds were circling around them.
