Cómo divide la ciudad, se puede recorrer a sus orillas caminando o en bicicleta. Lo más interesante y bello son los bellos atardeceres que se pueden contemplar haciendo un conjunto con el río. Para cruzar el río, atraviesa el puente Tuxpan o puedes pasar en esquifes (lanchas).
