★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simple, affordable, and authentic neighborhood izakaya/udon-ya. The service is friendly and fast, and the server speaks English which is a plus!
Kitsune udon: this is exactly what I’m craving on a chilly day - savory-sweet warm broth and chewy udon! Perfection!
Between Pierna con Muslo and Pierna con Cebollín, I will definitely recommend the latter, simply because green onion pairs so well with chicken.
Looking forward to trying more dishes next time!
Side note: The only downside of any izakaya is the unavoidable smoky smell from the grill. There are 3 outdoor seatings though for those who mind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After the day cooled down with a thunderstorm and pouring rain, we came here to end our trip in CDMX - and we were not disappointed.
We ran in from the rain and sat down at the bar. Overall very cute and clean, with a neat grill at the front of the restaurant where you can watch them grilling your skewers.
The QR code wasn’t working for us so we ended up needing the paper menu that you see attached to this review.
We ended up ordering the Nabeyaki Udon and the Kimchi Udon. We were met with generously portioned, steaming bowls of tasty udon that retained the perfect chew to the noodles. After the heaviness of a lot of the food we had eaten on this trip, it was a welcome change.
We ordered 4 skewers, 2 bowls of udon, 2 carafes of sake and mochi for dessert for ~$50 USD.
Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for some yummy Japanese food!
