Ultramar Ferry - 77500 Cancún

DO NOT buy any tour package at this place. A guy named Alex (Alejandro) sold us a “package” including snorkeling, sightseeing, etc. But it turned out being a terrible experience with nothing they promised. Just buy tours from trusted companies.

*Sighs* Ultramar was a good idea to get to Isla Mujeres from Playa Carocal. It was $21USD for a round trip ticket. When we arrived, we were informed that the return ferry would be at 3:45pm or 6:00pm. This was not so. My friend and I arrived about 35 minutes early for the 3:45 ferry. We stood in line, asked the representative that scanned our tickets if the ferry we were directed to was for Playa Carocal. He said yes. We asked again at the ferry and the representative said no. We went back to the man who scanned out tickets and it was a back and forth between the 2 of them. It wasn’t our ferry. There was another couple in our situation so we followed them, we’re back in line for another ferry and told it was for Playa Carocal. The closer we got to the other side, the ferry went in the opposite direction of Playa Carocal to Playa Tortuga. There were a few of us that had to find our own transportation from Playa Tortuga back down to the correct drop off point. The lady at the information booth recommended we take the bus, as taxis were expensive. *Beware* You might get to Isla Mujeres ok on the Ferry but there is no guarantee you will be returned to the drop off location you paid for according to your ticket. Ultramar representatives will shrug their shoulders unable or unwilling to help.

Took the ferry to Isla Mujeras. The boat was nice and clean. Great trip.

Cost was a bit "tourist focused", and included a bit of pressure to tip at times, but equally did what was promised and got us to our destination, so can't truly complain.

Be sure to bring cash if you are going from hotel zona. They don't accept credit card. $120 round trip to Isla Mujeres for 4 people.

The worst Ferry ever, you pay on the website and they don t let you in because you didn t screenshot the payement confirmation. It s a scam... they took my phone yo delete my mail confirmation

Don‘t use this company! Especially the connection from Caracol is unreliable. On the way back from Isla Mujeres. They just canceled the stop at Caracol without telling anybody which resulted in 1.5 h lost (going back and forth to the Island) and additional payment for a taxi. They did not admit any fault. Only by the help from a tour guide the staff agreed to take us back free of charge. Furthermore there website does not work. No babytickets and check out aborted after security verification from my card.

Bad Service! Bad experience, they don't do the agreed, you buy the round-trip ticket to Caracol beach, and they just kick you out at a stop before, without any explanation and assistance! They leave you somewhere else and the employees are extremely rude, they inform you that it's not their problem and your superior hangs up in your face when you call by phone in order to try to solve the problem. Run away from this company! Buy packages with other companies that may provide better assistance in case of problems.
