★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 분위기: 일본스러운 느낌을 최대한 내려고 했고, 일단 합격. 일본에 온 느낌을 받을 수는 있으나, 너무 붉은 색만 강조한 것이 약간의 단점이라면 단점.
그리고 오토시라고 해서 풋콩이 나오는데, 이 또한 일본에서 자릿세 개념으로 나오던거라서 살짝 놀랐습니다. 최근에는 오토시를 잘 안주는 곳이 많기에ㅎㅎ (느낌 잘 살림^^)
그리고 일부러 sake 시켰는데, 서비스 확인 및 제가 먹고싶어서??
일본에서 웬만한 sake는 거의 다 먹어봐서^^
식당에서 추천 받은 2개 Dassai 45, Yamamoto Honke 추천해주길래.. 그냥 깔끔하고 달달한 Dassai 시켜서 먹었습니다.(확실히 서비스가 달라집니다..같이 간 지인들한테도 Dassai는 깔끔해서 좋다고 칭찬들었습니다.) 일본만큼은 아니지만, 만족스러운 경험이였습니다.
꼬치: 간 꼬치는 취향을 많이타서 비추고 나머지는 추천합니다.
 Atmosphere: I tried to bring out the Japanese feel as much as possible, and I passed. You can feel like you are in Japan, but if only the red color is emphasized too much, it is a disadvantage.
And green beans are called otoshi, and I was a little surprised that this also came out as a seat tax concept in Japan. Lately, there are many places that don't give otoshi well haha (I feel good ^^)
And I ordered sake on purpose, because I want to eat and check the service ??
I've eaten almost all kinds of sake in Japan.
Two recommended Dassai 45, Yamamoto Honke from the restaurant.. I just ordered a clean and sweet Dassai and ate it. (The service is definitely different.. Even my acquaintances who went with me praised Dassai because it was neat.) Not as good as in Japan , it was a satisfactory experience.
Skewers: Seasoned skewers are cooked to your liking, and the rest are recommended.

Anyone rating this good Japanese cuisine has never eaten Japanese food outside Monterrey.
If you’re trying to have a nice meal for a special occasion or even here on business, I rarely complain about food but for two people and $150 USD later I could’ve gotten better seafood literally anywhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our dining experience at Ume was the best we experienced in Monterey. Firstly, my husband and I only speak English and all the staff made such an incredible effort to speak English or translate. Secondly, the food is FANTASTIC and is SO fast, I highly recommend the agadashi Tofu. The vibe is so cool, you can see the chef grilling the Yakitori from the dining area. We went back 3 times during our trip and on the last day the chef and owner came out and personally thanked us for coming. I will absolutely be back next time we are in town.
