Dentro del museo se encuentra documentada toda la historia de la Revolución mexicana. También hay un espacio donde se exhiben piezas arqueológicas, además cuenta con una pequeña biblioteca y una hemeroteca. Actualmente el museo forma parte de la Unidad Académica de Estudios Regionales de la UNAM.
Museum founded in 1976 in order to spread the life of Generals Lázaro Cárdenas and Francisco J. Múgica. Inside the museum the entire history of the Mexican Revolution is documented. There is also a space where archaeological pieces are exhibited, it also has a small library and a newspaper archive. Currently the museum is part of the UNAM Academic Unit for Regional Studies.

de la UNAM. Antes museo para difundir la vida del General Lázaro Cardenas y Francisco J. Múgica fundado en el año de 1976, paso a la Coordinación de Humanidades de la UNAM en el año 2005. Se llevan acabo conferencias, festivales, musicales, cine, etc. organiza de exposiciones temporales de artistas y exposición permanente de vida y obra del General “Lázaro Cárdenas” desde su nacimiento hasta sus últimos años en la politica dividida en 7 etapas cada una con subdivisión de 3 niveles, exposición de la revolución y algunos descubrimientos arqueológicos. Cuenta con diferentes áreas investigación, archivo histórico con documentos del XVIII, XIX, XX y XXI, biblioteca, museo, entre otras un auditorio. Es un lugar que tienes que visitar cuenta con amplio estacionamiento.
