About Vallarta Botanical Gardens AC

Your experience begins upon meeting up with your official Vallarta Botanical Garden guide who will serve as your companion and ambassador of Mexico’s tremendous native flora and fauna. Together you will wind your way along Vallarta’s stunning south shore and up the Horcones Canyon to the world-famous Vallarta Botanical Garden. From there the adventure begins in earnest as you venture through garden trails, conservatories, and exhibits to explore and learn together.

You’ll then dine in the magnificent Hacienda del Oro Restaurant with generous portions of authentic Mexican cuisine spotlighting some of the plants you just experienced in cultivation. Afterwards, you’ll also have some free time to wander the garden at your leisure, swim in the crystalline waters of the mountain river flowing through the forest preserve, capture some photographs, or relax with a drink in hand at the observation deck of the Garden’s Visitor Center.

One of the best botanical garden experiences I’ve ever had. Gorgeous gardens, the options for more difficult trails to hike, including down to the river, a great restaurant with a stunning view, great service and fun menu with a little something for everyone and this place is well worth the trip! Plan to spend the entire day, you can take an Uber or Taxi down and once there at the gift shop you can schedule a taxi for pick up at a chosen time.

This place is a must-see if you're ever in Puerto Vallarta. This massive garden has so much to offer. Hike down the river and check out the restaurant where you can watch hummingbirds feed super close!

I really liked the botanical garden because of the location where it was set up, the beautiful restaurant where we were accompanied by humming Birds and the different trails and the river. It also had a cool explanation of the origins of chocolate and vanilla in mexico. Highly Recommend

Highlight of our Puerto Vallarta visit! The gardens are beautifully maintained, and are densely planted with a wide variety of fragrant, colorful flowers. There's a shady suspended bridge trail to a brook when you need to cool off. Other highlights were the lavendar chapel and the painted tile memorial benches around the grounds. It's a haven for bird lovers too.

This garden was amazing! The plants were huge and colorful and gorgeous! Week maintained paths, a short jaunt down to a gorgeous river and a nice relaxing siege overlooking a gorgeous view. Totally worth the trip out here!

They’ve made an effort to have a few nice displays when you enter including a cute little pink chapel if you want to book a wedding. Most of the garden is trails in the jungle and not very well kept in some areas. There’s a river you can hike to and a small waterfall. So it’s mostly wild jungle with a small section of flowers displays. Still worth a visit.

Such a beautiful, tranquil place to be. As if Puerto Vallarta wasn't beautiful enough, then you see this...no hustle & bustle constantly. Just walk at your own pace and enjoy the beauty of which the Botanical Gardens is extremely full of, all natural beauty. I hope you enjoy my photos.

Gorgeous place to relax and hike through a botanical jungle. Bring hiking shoes and bug spray (they sell bug spray at the front desk too.) Also pay attention to the maps, my husband and I did all of the small trails but missed the two larger trails because we didn't. There's two restaurants, we went to the bigger one above the gift shop and the view was amazing (pictured below.) The food was delicious. I will be coming back for sure.
