About Vallarta Whales
Whale Watching is a recreational activity regulated by the Mexican Environmental Authorities (SEMARNAT) and Tourism (SECTUR). In order to get close to the whales, the boat must have a permit from the competent authorities and follow certain guidelines. Make sure to conduct whale watching responsibly. The Official Whale Watching Season 2021 is open from December 8 to the end of March.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful whale-watching tour today with Isabel and Tony. Tony was a very professional boat captain and found many whales for us to watch. Isabel was very entertaining as she shared information about the whales. She was also very personable and made us feel as though she truly enjoyed sharing time with us. This tour exceeded our expectations!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a thoroughly excellent experience! Our 4-hour tour was instructive (Isobel, is very knowledgeable about whale migration, behaviors, etc.), and highly entertaining. Isobel runs this small-craft tour herself and personally attends to everyone, answering their questions whether in Spanish or English. I have to say that watching the other whale watching boats follow ours around the Bay was a clear indication she "leads the pack". Thank you so much, Isobel, for a great day!
