★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've gotta say I don't quite understand the great reviews - our pasta was undercooked and not that interesting, compared to a lot of places nearby (Toscano, Cancino, La Barrita comida del mar) which are a similar price but far tastier!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a decent experience only because we had trouble finding any decent Halal/Vegetarian options in Mexico City and I knew I could trust atleast a couple options from Vapianos, as its a restaurant I've eaten at a million times in London.
The food was essentially the same as in London, although I believe covid affected the watch-the-cook experience of a standard Vapianos dine in (they provided a main screen to order off)
We got the Margarita pizza & pesto pasta (normally called gamberetti e spinaci)
Both were enjoyable although slightly cold. You can make additions to any meals, like adding shrimp to the pasta etc so that's always a bonus.
The order screen is in Spanish only so you may need a waiters help if you're a tourist.
If you're Muslim, looking for somewhere you can guarantee doesn't cook their meals using pork fat (as a lot do in Mexico) or on the same grill/equipment as non-halal options, this is a trustworthy option for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1 of 4 meals arrive 10 minutes before the other 3 - it arrived cold, without utensils. So it sat there getting colder. We asked to have it replaced but they heated it in a microwave and returned it now over cooked and in a clump of pasta. That ruined everyone’s experience. We have been before but after this time will not be back. They are using a single screen board to place orders - so many things were missed and they delivered an item we did not even order.

- waiters are very sluggish, we were in Vapiano two times and both they forgot smth

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We first ordered for uber pick-up service with a promotion of buy one get two. The portion of food was less than normal size that you order for dine in, without utensils and cold bread. But changed our mind and stayed in restaurant for eating our order, although the pick-up package was not good, but the hospitality of waiters and manager (when we brought the issue to them ) was such great that they deserve 5?. I hope the kitchen staff be responsible as waiters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered pesto pasta, scampi pomodoro and ceasar salad. The portions were good. The seafood pasta I ordered didn't have any seafoods. So I told the waiter about it. They took the pasta and it took a little while to serve it back. The noodles were overcooked. We didn't finish it all.
