★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: staff seemed kind/attentive, responded quickly on fb messenger, and let me pay with USD because I had just arrived and had not exchanged currency yet.
Cons: I don’t think the girl who did my lash lift had ever done one before. I was quoted 400 for a “mascara effect” lash lift. The regular was 300 pesos. After one hour, my lashes don’t look different then they did when I first came in. I have done 10 treatments before and this was one of two times where the practitioner seemed very inexperienced and no results were achieved. I think the Velvet Hands staff knew it was a bad turnout so they only charged me 312 pesos instead of the full 400, which I paid without contesting because they probably tried their best and I wanted to support the girls. Looking back, they should have not charged me at all. I now have to wait three weeks to try another lash lift salon because my lashes need to recuperate from chemical burns.
