My Family and I stayed at Ventus at Marina El Cid Resort on the Riviera Maya March 4th to 14, 2022. We were wowed in every aspect of the stay at this Modern Resort. From the Front Desk to the Chamber Maids, Restaurant Staff to Groundskeepers, Bartenders, Waiters, and Activity & Entertainment Staff, it is evident the only objective is making the guests stay as enjoyable as possible! Everyone is cheerful and friendly, and very hard-working. Special mention goes to the A La Carte Restaurants, and Buffet Setup! The Delores 5 in 1 buffet (Deli Coffee Bar, Mexican, Italian, Fresco, and Chinese was amazing, highlight every day was Gourmet Pastries, Coffee, Tea, Latte, Ice Cream! Just outside our ground level room we had Loungers, Pergola Beds, Kayaks, and Mini Catamarans. The Beach was Excellent and the Staff were on the Seagrass daily keeping it as neat as possible. The Infiniti Pools, Hot Tubs, and Bars were another highlight. Our All-inclusive Bands allowed us access to all 3 El Cid Resorts that were interconnected. This included Ventus, Marina, and Ha. The Infiniti Pool/Bar at Ha was one of the best I have ever seen. The Main Pool at Marina was perfect for the kids and teens complete with Water Slide and Cliff Jump. Room Service was Prompt, Accurate, and Delicious! The Late Night El Cid Clubhouse, Beef Fajitas, and Fresh Fish were ordered numerous Times. My daughter had the Spaghetti Bolognese and I have to admit it was top Shelf!! Every Morning we would order a basket of Toast, Tea and Coffee with Fruit Juice and Yoghurt. We can’t wait to go back, and commend all of the Professionals that helped make our Stay Fantastic! 5 Stars! Travel Agent – Uniglobe Travel - Trish Petersen ***** Provider – WestJet Vacations ****

The resort is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Juan was extremely helpful showing us the resort and answering any questions. The entertainment was very good each night. I highly recommend visiting.

One of the best resorts to visit. You have all access to visit the entire resort, there is friendly and helpful staff, and it is all inclusive. Wifi is not the best, but you're on holiday so make memories and document experiences. Lots of activities to do in the resort and the evening show is pretty good. Food is top notch delicious- try the sushi at the buffet, its so GOOD.

We LOVE IT HERE! We've been owners for over 12 years. We like coming at 2 weeks at a time 2-3 times a year. There are a lot of restaurants with lots of food choices. The food is yummy! The staff is friendly. We've seen many of them for years.

THIS HOTEL IS A HEALTH THREAT!!! We stayed at this hotel at in April for 8 nights (2 adults, 2 kids). On our first night there, both kids vomited all night after eating at the Italian restaurant. For the rest of the 8 days we all had diarrhea and stomach cramps so we did not eat anything for most of the time as we we were afraid to eat anything. Furthermore, we were diagnosed with scabies (!!!) after returning from the hotel, incubation period indicates that we got it in the bed at the hotel. That should not happen at all, I have a friend who once got it in a rundown hostel in Costa Rica, but this is a 4 star hotel. As if all this was not enough, another we were diagnosed with another parasite from this horrendous vacation: cutaneous larva migrans, which we caught from playing and walking on the beach there. The weeks following this vacation were a nightmare, no sleep because of unbearable itching, infected wounds, no going back to school for the kids after spring break. What I find even more troublesome and which is kind of unbelievable to me: Even though I reached out to the hotel multiple times, Expedia (which we booked with) also reached out to them, there was absolutely NO REPLY, nothing. I told them they need to deep clean the room we were sleeping in because it is a health threat to anyone sleeping there after us. No reaction at all. I asked for a refund because of the health issues the hotel gave our family. NOTHING That is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT GO THERE if you want to save yourself a lot of trouble... Choosing this hotel was the worst decision of my life when booking a holiday.

This is my first time visiting this hotel which I stayed at at the beginning of May 2022. I stayed at this hotel for 9 days and I must say that it was phenomenal. This is not my first time staying in Cancun and typically I stay at Riu resorts however, I wanted to try something new. The first thing that you will notice is that this hotel is approximately 20 to 40 minutes away from the Cancun airport depending on traffic which is not bad. The property itself is broken up into three hotels which include the main property. Marina El Cid the secondary property Ventus el Cid and the third property Ventus ha. Even though there are three properties, it is still manageable to walk without the use of a golf cart. However, one is provided if needed. Typically when I visit Mexico I find that a lot is left to be desired when it comes to food. But this is not the case. For Ventus. There are nine restaurants available to you and I had the pleasure of eating it all of them and they were all phenomenal. For lunch time they have a food court style setup which means that all of the food options are located in one prime area and you can choose which cuisine you would like to eat. As I was staying during COVID, I feel it pertinent to mention that I felt very safe and that the hotel observed normal COVID procedures i.e wearing masks, serving guests, food and not allowing guests to take food from the buffet on their own. I'll be honest that the buffet is smaller than some of the other resorts that I've been to but what they lack in size they make up for in flavor. When I stayed at this resort I was a platinum member which basically means that you get priority. Check in, priority. Check out, use of your own private Butler, room Aromatherapy, custom pillow menu and premium liquor selection. I would say that paying the little bit extra to get platinum is definitely worth it. I enjoyed all the nice touches that came along with being a platinum member. I also have to take a moment and recognize the outstanding staff at this resort that made my stay even more enjoyable. Special shout out to Gil in the platinum club lobby, Calli and angel my butler's and Alfredo my breakfast and lunch server. Thank you so much to the resort for allowing me the pleasure of staying with you. If you are wondering which resort you want to stay at and what the differences are to make it easy, think of it this way.... El Cid has the traditional Mexican motif and is the oldest of the resorts, Ventus is the newer more modern resort and HA is the newest resort however it faces the jungle. So if you are like me and you enjoy looking out if your room and seeing the water and having a modern style room then Ventus is the one for you. When you are booking I would suggest asking for building number 24 as it is central to everything. You may be considering booking a swim up room and those are great. Just keep in mind that they will not be ocean friend. Your room will overlook the pool.

We had an amazing experience here! The amenities, service, and food were exceptional! The staff was all phenomenal! They have several pools and hot tubs on site, so we were always able to find a space to enjoy the water without being too crowded. We loved the adults only infinity pool area. We used the on-site COVID service and it was quick and easy—not sure why other guests have left bad reviews about this service. We also did not have to pay for wifi as other reviewers have mentioned. Overall, I would give this resort a 10/10!

The rooms were clean and modern. Bars and restaurants have wide hours and good food. The room upgrades were affordable and well worth it to get a beach view and 24/7 services. They have carts to take you places, but everything was easily within a 15 minute walk. The staff were super friendly, helpful and delivered top-notch service. Not a single complaint about the staff.
