Villa Amor - 63732 Sayulita
Villa Amor - Villaamor.com
We went to Sayulita without actually booking a hotel (we were in Punta de Mita prior). When we showed up we basically stumbled into Villa Amor. Upon arriving we were met by Jesse who was extremely helpful and actually MADE our stay. He is the reason we are planning to make another trip back to Villa Amor in October. He met my boyfriend at the front of the hotel and proceeded to show him a few of the villas and allowed us to choose whoever one we wanted. He made arrangements for golf carts, excursions, restaurants, etc. He was the absolute BEST!
AMAZING VACATION!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay here was nothing short of magical! We spent a lot of our vacation on our balcony in the Bonita Villa and the views were spectacular. The pool was beautiful and it was a pretty short walk into town, though renting a golf cart makes it a quick trip for shopping, food, and touring the town. Highly recommend this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My significant other and I were there to celebrate our anniversary mid December. We had reserved the beautiful villa "Linda". Upon arrival we were introduced to Jesse at reception who was very kind but seemed nervous leading us to our villa as it was not the one we had reserved. We stayed one night in the villa however we were quickly told that the following day we would be shown other villas to make up for it and they absolutely delivered on that promise. The following morning we met Patty who showed us 4 beautiful villas to choose from, we decided to stay in Las Lanchas. This villa was breath taking and we loved that the living area was open to the elements as the weather was between 71-80 every day of our stay. Sayulita is definitely a surf town for those brave to hit the water. Every morning just before sunrise we would catch the surfers paddling out to catch the waves and the same into dusk. The exteriors of the villas are surrounded by live plants, flowers, butterflies, and the occasional iguana. I highly recommend renting a golf cart during your stay to get around the town. We did walk the 1st night but it becomes tiring with the cobblestoned streets and a bit of a tripping hazard in the evening. We did not eat at the resort as we wanted as authentic experience as possible with food and drink. We asked our driver to recommend his favorite places and he did not disappoint. We went to Mary's several times and ordered different dishes each time that were exceptional and they make amazing margaritas de maracuya. Our server there, Oscar was amazing and would recommend places as well. Aloha Bar also had large margaritas that were just as delicious! We did try many other restaurants and bars but these two were our favorite. There are so many vendors and little shops for trinkets and souvenirs. The resort offers many activities. We went zip lining and also a couples massage within our villa on our anniversary. Patty recommended during our stay to visit el Campamento Tortuguero to see the sea turtle hatchlings released to the ocean. We went on the last evening and were able to participate and release a turtle of our own. It was magical and the volunteers were so kind. Upon our departure Patty welcomed us to visit again and we couldn't thank her enough for her kindness and hospitality. Villa Amor was the best romantic getaway and we look forward to going back again in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best room of the three hotels I stayed at, spacious with a kitchen with stove and solid WiFi. I'd give it five stars except it involved a lot of stairs (about 5 stories worth) and my particular villa didn't have a view. Oh, and terrible water pressure but that seems to be the norm for Sayulita.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place, but if you like showers, this is not your place. Water never gets warm. Stayed in 2 separate villas and cold showers in both oceans and gran villa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great rooms, staff friendly, pool refreshing, close to the village. Peaceful except at night when a disco across the bay starts up with loud music - until 4am. So sleeping can be disrupted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Villa Tranquilita at villa Amor and I'm giving it a five Star review because of the beautiful location and the attention to detail the owners provided. The owners took time to explain everything and had someone waiting when we arrived, Dora! Dora was very welcoming and gave us a tour of the place.
Villa Tranquilita was perfect for a couples getaway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time here. We stayed in the Buena Vida room and the mattress wasn’t the best but manageable - we enjoyed the proximity to town (easily walkable) and the beach. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The gym looked great even though we didn’t use it. The restaurant of front is an awesome water-front location but the food is meh and not worth the price, but it is worth getting a drink/snack there for the prime spot.
Be warned of the stairs lol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room is so unique and amazing. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite that you couldn't imagine if you tried. The pictures online didn't do it justice. I didn't give 5 stars because of the stairs, no parking available if you rent a car, and the noise from other guests not being blocked at all because of the open nature of the hotel.
